Although Comedy Central has had two decades of success with Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s South Park, the cabler’s other animated and scripted series have not typically lasted too long. Now its Legends of Chamberlain Heights TV show is back for a second season. Will it be cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned.
An animated adult sitcom from creators Brad Ableson, Mike Clements, Quinn Hawking, Josiah Johnson and Michael Starrbury, Legends of Chamberlain Heights follows three high school basketball players. Jamal (Hawking), Grover (Johnson), and Milk (Starrbury), are really just benchwarmers. Together, these three friends experience life’s highs and lows. Comedy Central says, “Failure doesn’t faze them since they’re legends — even if it’s just in their own minds.” The voice cast also includes: Jay Pharoah, Tiffany Haddish, Jamie Kennedy, Poochie Jackson, Carl Jones, Elise Marie Dubois, and Lavell Crawford.

If properly promoted Legends would score big ratings. The show is loaded with “fire-ass quotables!” – Grover. If CC would air the seasons 1 & 2 more consistently the show could develop a following. Please renew for two more seasons!

This is the funniest thing on TV with excellent animation. It’s made to look less than perfect, but it works just right for it. Some episodes are better than others, of course. Chocolate Milk, and the most recent one about Grover’s Dad returning, were hilarious! Jay Pharoah is perfect as Montrel and Milks character is on point, my nig……..smack! LOCH is absolutely politically wrong, and it will offend some mark-ass, hemis who have an impaired sense of humor, especially women, but it’s funny as hell, because it’s so wrong. It’ll catch on and be a classic, too.
