We all saw it coming. One of the most anticipated TV shows of the new fall season, Lone Star, has been cancelled after two episodes.
Lone Star centers around a handsome conman (James Wolk) who lives a double life to swindle investors and an oil tycoon family. He starts to have regrets and struggles to balance both lives and keep everybody happy. Others in the series are Jon Voight, Adrianne Palicki, Bryce Johnson, David Keith, Eloise Mumford, and Mark Deklin.
The FOX series debuted last week to a very disappointing 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.1 million total viewers. Last night, despite several days of buzz and campaigning to get new viewers, the ratings fell even lower to a 1.0 rating in the demo and 3.23 million viewers. As was the case in week one, many people who started watching tuned out before the episode was over. For whatever reason, it just didn’t click.
Lone Star has been cancelled effective immediately and the three remaining unaired episodes have been shelved. There’s no word if FOX will get around to releasing the remaining episodes at some point in the future.
Last week, the cast and crew were shooting the sixth installment. Production has now been shut down and it’s unclear if that episode was completed.
Lone Star’s spot will be filled by the season three premiere of Lie to Me.

I don’t watch much TV- I just don’t get into it that much. But I really, really liked this show!
Out of the 3 shoes we were watching this Fall, this was by far my favorite. When I didn’t see it out DVR recordings, I thought it was because we forgot to delete some old shows my hubby recorded- only to find out it was because the show is gone!!
BRING IT BACK! 2 episodes in the early Fall is NOT a fair chance! We are so bummed!
Insane networks really have issues canceling a show after 2 episodes. Give people time to get into it. Fox really blows. I’m done watching shows on this network.
I thought the show was great, very original & witty with a great cast.
The high of the Fall new series BUT was not given the opportunity.
My PVR was programmed and I assume many others as well, you should reconsider & play the remaining episodes and go from there.
good TV is hard to come by and this was potentially a jewel.

people are so retarded the reason why it failed was for two reasons 1 it was a new show that aired on fox and two the same time lonestar was on monday night football was on as well
I hate when they don’t give a show enough of a time to make it… there are so many shows that I was not aware of at first, but caught on the 3rd or 4th episode…and LOVED it! They should have given it more of a chance. This show was creative and interesting, and at times pretty emotionally thrilling!
I actually liked the show and was lookin forward 2 the third show but it never came on. Channel 4 has “$%#@ My Dad Says” and that show sucks. Really. If this show comes back on, please let me know. I really dont know how it failed but I though it was great. Some people might not agree with the character havin 2 lifes but Whatever.
I liked the show. Much better than some moron family with super powers after a camping trip. yeahright! or the moronic spys out of some bestbuy wannabee store. I grew up watching the Lone Ranger, so I am well familiar with the unadulterated crap network ninnies want to shove down your throat. Next they will try some retarded move like trying to get me to vote for Palin—you just watch and see. There is no filth they won’t sling at you,they think your asleep.
I liked this show. Not sure why it failed. Better look at promotion, day and time. It is better than alot of shows on TV.

We miss lone star!!!!! One of few shows my husband inquired about! Let us know when it’s back on or at least let us watch what’s already produced!
The Fox network is run by a bunch of morons. I enjoyed this series, and looked forward to seeing a lot more. But alas, money grubbing cash whores decide it’s just not bringing in the ratings. Sooo Fox, do you think the World Series is bringing in enough? There have been only two games, cancel that why don’t you. The Fox network will now be known as CWN – CASH ***** NETWORK
