The Magicians has some new company. TVLine reports Jaime Ray Newman has joined season three of the Syfy TV show.

Based on the novels by Lev Grossman, the supernatural drama follows the students of Brakebills University, a school for students of magical ability. The cast includes Jason Ralph, Stella Maeve, Olivia Taylor Dudley, Arjun Gupta, Hale Appleton, Summer Bishil, Jade Tailor, and Rick Worthy.

On The Magicians, Newman will be playing “Irene McAllistair, a member of Brakebills’ Board of Trustees who has known Dean Fogg for many years.” Season three is slated to premiere on Syfy in January.
