Even though its ratings would have spelled cancellation on sister-network ABC, the freshman outing of Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger TV show was the second-highest rated show on Freeform last year, so its renewal was an easy call. Now that it is back for a second season, can the “Divine Heroes” beef up their audience and soar to new heights, or is this as good as it gets? Will Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger be cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned.
A Freeform mystery thriller, Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger stars Olivia Holt, Aubrey Joseph, Andrea Roth, Gloria Reuben, Miles Mussenden, Carl Lundstedt, Emma Lahana, and Jaime Zevallos. The superhero drama follows Tandy Bowen (Holt) and Tyrone Johnson (Joseph). These two teens, from different backgrounds, share a strange connection and have started exhibiting unusual powers. Ty and Tandy soon find they’re better together than alone, but their feelings complicate matters. In the second season, they’re living very different lives and trying to stay under the wire, but find it difficult to stand down when evil is afoot.
Below are the show’s TV ratings, typically the best way to tell if the series will be cancelled or renewed. These figures will be updated as the weeks progress.
