MasterChef Junior has some new company. FOX just confirmed the TV show has been renewed for an eighth season and Daphne Oz has joined as a new judge.
The new season of the competition series will see a group of talented, young chefs “showcase their culinary abilities and passion for food through a series of delicious challenges.” Judges include Gordon Ramsay and Aarón Sánchez.

Daphne Oz, author, chef and entrepreneur, joins world renowned chefs Gordon Ramsay and Aaron Sanchez as a judge on the eighth season of the hit culinary competition series.
In the new season, the pint-sized contestants will cook a meal for diners at a historical renaissance fair and size up against monster trucks at a motocross track. The chef-testants also will welcome Gordon’s daughter, Tilly Ramsay, back to the MASTERCHEF kitchen for a donut contest! With challenge after exciting challenge, one talented kid will be named America’s newest MASTERCHEF JUNIOR, taking home the trophy and $100,000 grand prize.

When I was checking on the next Season 8 MasterChef Junior and saw the word cancelled I told my husband… “They better not take that show off the air!!!! These young Chef’s are looking for a positive light at the end of their tunnel. Something that they feel gives them purpose, makes them feel necessary and important…No Matter how bad their life is!!! I am so happy that Master Chef Jr. has been renewed. I am amazed by these 8-13 year old home cooks, and I have learned how to cook better by watching the show.

I absolutely love Master Chef Junior. Not only are the contestants amazing cooks, they are great human beings — willing to help and share with one another while still being focused on doing their very best. They bring out the best in the judges and are an inspiration to all of us. Plus their cooking is creative and yet very personal.

I absolutely love MasterChef Junior and can’t wait to see the next season. I love watching these children who have mastered cooking at such a young age! I also love MasterChef and watch every episode but hate to watch the last one because I know it is ending. At least I have so much to look forward to when MasterChef Junior begins!

What an awful addition to the judges. She is not a chef and barely has anything to do with real cooking. So many great real female chefs out there and they chose Dr Oz kid. Lame. Even Gordon’s daughters would have been a much better choice.
I am glad MasterChef jr is coming back it is one my favorite shows besides MasterChef with the adults.
I Love Master Chef Jr. and Master Chef. They are Awesome TV shows.
