To the victor go all the spoils. Guest stars for the fifth season will include Emmy(R) winner Wanda Sykes (Alpha House) as a love interest for Jeremiah (Glynn Turman); Emmy nominee Keegan-Michael Key (Key & Peele) as the CEO of a hair care line; and Emmy nominee Ken Marino (Children’s Hospital) as a love interest for Jeannie. SPRING BROKE
World Premiere: Friday, March 25th at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT)
Visit: http://www.sho.com/sho/reality-docs/titles/3429923/spring-broke#/index

On Friday, March 25th at 9 p.m. ET/PT, SHOWTIME will premiere SPRING BROKE, a documentary about the raucous history of the infamous spring vacation revelries in Daytona, Florida. The annual gathering started in the early ’60s and by the 1980s led to the arrival of tens of thousands of college students lured by music, sun, endless parties and eventually, the hope to make it on MTV. For an early look at the documentary, go to: http://s.sho.com/1XPLp75. From executive producers Alex Gibney (Going Clear) and Stacey Offman (Death Row Stories), SPRING BROKE chronicles the growth of the Spring Break industry over three decades. Starting with a handful of local promoters and growing until Daytona experienced a financial surge the equivalent of the Super Bowl, the documentary captures how Spring Break became a magnet for corporate America. It reveals how cigarette, beer and suntan lotion peddlers, along with hotel owners and rock band promoters, competed for the cash of America’s 18-24 year-olds. When MTV burst onto the scene and embraced spring break, this youth migration became part of the wider culture. SPRING BROKE documents the rise and fall of Daytona and how it became the “Spring Break Capital of the World.” The film is produced by Bungalow Media + Entertainment, in association with Taral Productions. Allan Cohen, Robert Friedman and Jennie Amias serve as producers.

With no experience or money, Pras mobilizes a presidential campaign for the unlikeliest of candidates: “Sweet Micky” (aka Michel Martelly) – Haiti’s most popular and most outlandish pop star. The idealistic and politically inexperienced pair set out against a corrupt government, civil unrest, and a fixed election system to change the course of Haitian history. Pras acts as masterful storyteller and director Ben Patterson brilliantly captures an important part of Haiti’s history as a fledgling democracy struggling to produce a government worthy of the world’s first black republic.

BRAND: A SECOND COMING
US TV Premiere: Friday, May 6th at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT)
Visit: http://www.sho.com/sho/reality-docs/documentaries

BRAND: A SECOND COMING chronicles actor / comedian / activist Russell Brand on his journey from addict, self-proclaimed narcissist and Hollywood star living in the fast-lane to his current, and unexpected, role as political disruptor and newfound hero to the underserved. Criticized for egomaniacal self-interest, Brand injects his madness in to the world and calls for revolution. He stays the course with an irreverent courage that inspires a new generation of activists to rise against the ever-increasing world engorged in Consumerism. Can Brand rise against the roar of criticism from the very system that built him? Does he have the fortitude, resilience and commitment to keep up the fight? Will he find true happiness, which has eluded him since childhood? BRAND: A SECOND COMING takes audiences behind the scenes of this wildly complex man for an intimate look at what drives Russell Brand as he continues to be the consummate disruptor.

JUST LET GO – LENNY KRAVITZ LIVE
US TV Premiere: Friday, May 13th at 8:00 p.m.
Visit: http://www.sho.com/sho/reality-docs/documentaries

Filmed in Paris, Prague, Ldz, Memphis, New Orleans and New York over the course of six months in 2014 and 2015, JUST LET GO is the story about relationships between Lenny Kravitz and his band and why, despite him being a solo artist, these musicians are so vitally important to him both personally and professionally. Concert performances, captured raw, honest and live in Bercy Arena, Paris and the o2 Arena, Prague, showcase front-man extraordinaire Kravitz and the iconic and world-renowned virtuoso musicians who surround him. From the afro-sporting jazz drummer, Cindy Blackman Santana to David Bowie-collaborator bass player Gail Ann Dorsey, to long standing friend, guitarist and musical director, Craig Ross, the film revels in the personalities and characters present in the band’s stellar line up. Threading through the film in documentary footage, captured on locations steeped in American musical history and borne out in the live performances, is a narrative that explores what it means to be a part of Kravitz’s band. On rooftops, in muscle cars, propped up in dive bars, and in pool halls, the band in their own words talk candidly about life on the road, sharing the stage, improvising, translating the music from the studio to the stage and Kravitz’s quest for perfection.
