TV show description:
This dramatic science-fiction TV series explores the question “What would you do without it all?” A family struggles to reunite in an American landscape where every single piece of technology — computers, refrigerators, air conditioners, planes, cars, phones, lights — has mysteriously stopped working. Electrical power has simply gone away. The show also revolves around the idea of family — both the family you’re born into and the family you choose.
Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) is the headstrong, curious and daring daughter of Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Ben Matheson (Tim Guinee). Ben is hiding a mysterious secret about the blackout. Maggie (Anna Lise Phillips), a medical doctor, became involved with him following his wife’s death.
When Charlie’s younger and thoughtful brother, Danny (Graham Rogers), is kidnapped by militia leaders, she must reconnect with her estranged uncle Miles Matheson (Billy Burke), a former US Marine and warrior who’s living as a recluse.
Together, with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America. All the while, they explore the enduring mystery of why the power failed and how or if it will ever return.
The rebel group includes fighter Nora (Daniella Alonso); General “Bass” Monroe (David Lyons), a former Marine who served alongside Miles; and Aaron (Zak Orth), a former Google executive and a computer genius who’s ill-prepared for the rigors of the technology-less world.
Captain Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito), a cultured former insurance adjuster turned Monroe Republic leader and Nate Walker (JD Pardo) is a member of the militia who has conflicted feelings for Charlie.
Episode #42 — Declaration of Independence
Miles (Billy Burke), Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Monroe (David Lyons) launch an attack on the Patriots, but must improvise a risky new plan in order to halt the oncoming war between California and Texas. Out for revenge, Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) sets his sights on President Davis (guest star Cotter Smith). Meanwhile, Aaron (Zak Orth) and Rachel’s (Elizabeth Mitchell) efforts to save Priscilla (guest star Maureen Sebastian) from the nano-tech has unexpected consequences.
First aired: May 21, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like the Revolution TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for another season?
I loved this show right from the pilot. It figures it would get cancelled. In the past few years, all the new shows that I like, get interested in the characters and storylines all seem to get canceled. What happened to the days where they would let a show grow over a couple of seasons to see if it gets a following? (Remember: Married with Children did not get a following until the 3rd season) I cannot believe this is getting cancelled. Maybe we need to start a “peanut petition” liked they did for Jericho!!!
Wow! leave the crappy shows and cancel the entertaining ones. How about just trying a different time slot!!!
This is totally BS.
Why is it cancelled ?!? I’ve really gotten into this show ! D:
What a great show, canceled far too soon. By chance could it be picked up by another network???
NBC! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, RECONSIDER! I watch four shows, three are on NBC. REVOLUTION, GRIMM, GROWING UP FISHER. But only one will remain on NBC after this season. You going to slash GRIMM as well so I have no reason for NBC. You are making the other channels look better and better!
BIG MISTAKE! NBC NEEDS TO REVAMP THEIR EMPLOYEE SELECTION TO HAVE LET THIS SHOW GO!
Please reconsider! This show has great potential to last many more seasons. Try the later time slot like the other post mentioned. All the actors have great chemistry and the story line is always interesting. Try something else! At least give it one more season to give it’s followers closure!
Unbelievable that they would cancel this show and keep so much crap. I pray another
station picks up this wonderful show. I’m done with NBC. I refuse to watch any of the new shows they air because it will only get canceled. They can’t keep a good show.
NBC wonders why they’re doing so poorly. This is the reason. First, you don’t put a show like this in an 8:00 time slot. It is too graphic and the story line is not meant for children. It belongs in a 9:00 or 10:00 time slot. The only other NBC show I watch is the Voice and this is why you’ve lost so many ratings. Good job NBC. Hopefully some other network will see the value and pick it up.
Yep, you are right. This show started on Monday nights at 10 p.m. They should never have moved it to an earlier time slot.
My wife and I think it is a mistake to cancel Revolutions, I agree the story line should move on faster, what is happening in the rest of the world?
Please don’t cancel!! Great show. Cancel some of the crappy new realty shows.
Please don’t cancel this show I love it. It is so full of intensity , great story line. I look forward to every Wednesday . Very disappointing that you would cancel this show .
Do NOT cancel Revolution – I look forward to the show every Wednesday night. Just when I am hooked on your show you take it away. Is that any way to treat a loyal fan?? I am not the only fan this show has. Wake up! You have something good here – don’t cancel it! I thought the idea is to create great shows to draw in your viewers and keep them. You have one here now – don’t throw it away. It isn’t to late to change your mind. Give your viewers what they want – we want Revolution… Read more »
Our only hope now, is some cable network picks it up, much like TNT did when the cop drama Southland left NBC after being canceled. It ran another four years on TNT.
I’m so sad! This is one of my favorite shows!
This is a terrific show. Please reconsider and keep it going.
