TV show description:
This dramatic science-fiction TV series explores the question “What would you do without it all?” A family struggles to reunite in an American landscape where every single piece of technology — computers, refrigerators, air conditioners, planes, cars, phones, lights — has mysteriously stopped working. Electrical power has simply gone away. The show also revolves around the idea of family — both the family you’re born into and the family you choose.
Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) is the headstrong, curious and daring daughter of Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Ben Matheson (Tim Guinee). Ben is hiding a mysterious secret about the blackout. Maggie (Anna Lise Phillips), a medical doctor, became involved with him following his wife’s death.
When Charlie’s younger and thoughtful brother, Danny (Graham Rogers), is kidnapped by militia leaders, she must reconnect with her estranged uncle Miles Matheson (Billy Burke), a former US Marine and warrior who’s living as a recluse.
Together, with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America. All the while, they explore the enduring mystery of why the power failed and how or if it will ever return.
The rebel group includes fighter Nora (Daniella Alonso); General “Bass” Monroe (David Lyons), a former Marine who served alongside Miles; and Aaron (Zak Orth), a former Google executive and a computer genius who’s ill-prepared for the rigors of the technology-less world.
Captain Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito), a cultured former insurance adjuster turned Monroe Republic leader and Nate Walker (JD Pardo) is a member of the militia who has conflicted feelings for Charlie.
Episode #42 — Declaration of Independence
Miles (Billy Burke), Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Monroe (David Lyons) launch an attack on the Patriots, but must improvise a risky new plan in order to halt the oncoming war between California and Texas. Out for revenge, Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) sets his sights on President Davis (guest star Cotter Smith). Meanwhile, Aaron (Zak Orth) and Rachel’s (Elizabeth Mitchell) efforts to save Priscilla (guest star Maureen Sebastian) from the nano-tech has unexpected consequences.
First aired: May 21, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like the Revolution TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for another season?
Please don’t cancel Revolution!!
I agree. Revolution is the only NBC show I like! I have looked forward to watching it every week. I love the acting by all the characters. Get rid of reality bull ****. I could list a lot of your shows that are not worth watching. Maybe ABC should add it to their collection.
I for one agree with everyone. I think that revolution is one of the best shows on tv right now. I’m tired of seeing shows like this and the river and other great shows getting cancelled after one or two seasons while shows like the bachelor and dances with the stars are on there like 87th season. I am a huge fan of the show and would love to see how the story evolves. If this show is for real canceled I will never watch nbc again and all the guys at the shop where I work feel the same.… Read more »
Agree with you!
NBC should have learned by now that the fans know what is good and what isn’t, and that numbers don’t always tell the whole story. From the days of Star Trek, when the fans were responsible for keeping it on the air for an extra season until the network finally pulled the plug because the show was only rated 51 share, these morons are unable to get it through their collective heads that when the numbers say you aren’t pulling in every possible household, there are other ways to deal with that. Things like not shifting the day around constantly… Read more »
Well said, Scott. At my advanced age, I still get disappointed by the mentality the Networks display. I could make a long list of really intelligent, exciting shows that just weren’t given the best scheduling or support hence the powers in charge pull the plug. We all could make such a list, I am sure. I wonder why networks don’t develop a Major League Baseball system of sending some of the shows in which they lose faith to another level in a sister station or even releasing it cable or internet presenters. At least that would show a respect for… Read more »
You make some good points! Revolution was definitely one of NBC’s top intelligent, exiting shows. Like you, I think that volatility in scheduling was a big, big issue.
s/b …one of NBC’s top intelligent, exciting shows.
Hear, hear!!!!
I love this show and think it is crazy that it was cancelled. I hope another network pick up the show and continue fight with the patriots. This is the best show BBC has going. This is only way I will watch the network in the first place. I pray AND or Fox pick this show up and has NBC eating their dust.
No!!!
Bring back the Monroe Republic!
There are only a couple of shows I watch on tv and this one of my top two. I do not know one person that Dosent watch and like the show. Stupid reality tv continues to dumb down America while shows with imagination and thought are cancelled. Just like the show Firefly, In the end I think you will find there was a large following and that it is a mistake to cancel.
I love this show! It is one of those shows that after you watch it,you don’t want to wait a whole week to see it again. Please,Please don’t cancel.
I totally agree!!!! IF NBC cancels, I hope that another network will capitalize on it!!!
Why NBC should reconsider going back on there decision of cancelling the Show Revolution …If i may repeat myself, fans have the right to know what is the epilogue to this story, put a proper lid on it …Then, #NBC might realize, by # of people interested in this show that there making a mistake… Cancelling this show is senseless…Just like a book, let us finish reading it properly…”Us fans”,deserve that… at least! #NBC…Or are you hiding the real reason for it’s cancellation ..This does not stand right surely, with the demands for this show to go on… Watch it… Read more »
Fully agree with you. Couldn’t say it better myself!
Cannot believe NBC cancelled this show! It was one word BRILLIANT! I e-mailed NBC and basically called them a bunch of ********. I’m hoping syfy or some other network will keep this series on the air.
oh wow, I hope the syfy channel doesn’t get Revolution, it’s the worst channel on cable and should be axed from ALL cable networks it sucks so bad….if Revolution goes there you’ll beg for it to have been cancelled by NBC…
i agree 100% get back on track get rid off all that other **** your putting on now leave the good shows with good ackting alone i could list 10 other shows with ****** acting and no storie to them im getting to the point were my tv and satalite could be sent to the dump some of the **** your putting on now belongs there with it
Revolution is the best show on TV, by far! Totally unique, always interesting and exciting. Please keep it going! There’s no other show like it. Stop messing with the schedule, advertise it and the ratings will grow!
Totally agree with Rich…
This is my only Wednesday night show. The writing was better the first season and I think the story line has gotten unbelievable. Get back on track and save a good show.

To reiterate above comments – why, oh why, do good shows get cancelled? 🙁
‘Revolution’, ‘The Tomorrow People’, ‘Star-Crossed’ & ‘V’ (old AND new series). It’s just my opinion, but do these networks not like science fiction?
Here in the UK, we like variety and WE NEED ESCAPISM – and tv shows which have imagination – to take us away from the deluge of these absolutely rubbish reality shows that seem to be all the rage. What’s next? NCIS? Suits? (Perish the thought!!!!)
I love this show. Re-new It!
