TV show description:
This dramatic science-fiction TV series explores the question “What would you do without it all?” A family struggles to reunite in an American landscape where every single piece of technology — computers, refrigerators, air conditioners, planes, cars, phones, lights — has mysteriously stopped working. Electrical power has simply gone away. The show also revolves around the idea of family — both the family you’re born into and the family you choose.
Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) is the headstrong, curious and daring daughter of Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Ben Matheson (Tim Guinee). Ben is hiding a mysterious secret about the blackout. Maggie (Anna Lise Phillips), a medical doctor, became involved with him following his wife’s death.
When Charlie’s younger and thoughtful brother, Danny (Graham Rogers), is kidnapped by militia leaders, she must reconnect with her estranged uncle Miles Matheson (Billy Burke), a former US Marine and warrior who’s living as a recluse.
Together, with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America. All the while, they explore the enduring mystery of why the power failed and how or if it will ever return.
The rebel group includes fighter Nora (Daniella Alonso); General “Bass” Monroe (David Lyons), a former Marine who served alongside Miles; and Aaron (Zak Orth), a former Google executive and a computer genius who’s ill-prepared for the rigors of the technology-less world.
Captain Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito), a cultured former insurance adjuster turned Monroe Republic leader and Nate Walker (JD Pardo) is a member of the militia who has conflicted feelings for Charlie.
Episode #42 — Declaration of Independence
Miles (Billy Burke), Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Monroe (David Lyons) launch an attack on the Patriots, but must improvise a risky new plan in order to halt the oncoming war between California and Texas. Out for revenge, Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) sets his sights on President Davis (guest star Cotter Smith). Meanwhile, Aaron (Zak Orth) and Rachel’s (Elizabeth Mitchell) efforts to save Priscilla (guest star Maureen Sebastian) from the nano-tech has unexpected consequences.
First aired: May 21, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like the Revolution TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for another season?
Why why why. Only series I love. How sad. NBC you are gone in my mind, I will stay committed to avoiding anything on NBC. How sad
This is one of the very few shows my whole family likes to watch, and that is saying a lot with all of our differences. This show has something for everyone, not to mention it shows woman as strong and smart and treated as equals. And who was the executive that made the super dumb move to take the show off the air with no warning when it was the top rated show on TV at the time, only to then put it back on, again with no explanation, running it up against the VOICE, which was not only the… Read more »
I think it should b renewed,I love the show.
Absolutely!!
I was so disappointed when I heard the news! So much junk on TV these days and NBC has to cancel one of the few good ones!
This show is the only one I really looks forward to watching every week. Why did the network move it to Wednesday any way? Please don’t cancel this show. Atleast run it to a happy ending. There is no way at this time in the series that it can end with a happy ending. Like getting the lights back on and everybody living happily ever after. This network is going to lose a watcher if Revolution is ended now. I WILL NOT WATCH ANY MORE PROGRAMS ON NBC.
I agree. Do not cancel the show.
Another good show NBC wants to cancel! Just like they did Southland they attempt to move around the shows and they loose their audience base. 10:00 on Monday nights was perfect! No more 24 or any worthy competitor worth challenge that spot because of the high violence (which the true fans didn’t mind). Then they switched on Wednesday “bad move”because you got American Idol and Criminal Minds at 9:00. I think NBC needs to know when to leave a good thing alone! I love this show and it has been exciting to watch the characters grow and be challenged by… Read more »

Why cancel Revolution ? It has a large fan base. Great show. Seems like every time I get interested in a TV series .. IT GETS CANCELED !!! NBC. This will be the last program I watch on your network .. Back to CBS
that really upsets me that nbc would cancel this. Revolution is the highlight of my Wednesday night. NBC you are a bunch of ass holes.
The best show on TV and the only one I make a point to watch. Why is it ALWAYS the best shows that are cancelled. Please reconsider and renew this show!!!!!!
Please do not cancel this thrilling show. It is one of the best tv shows on any network. This cancellation makes me feel like never ever watching any new NBC shows because I may like them only to have NBC cancel!!!!
