Rugrats aired for nine seasons on Nickelodeon before it came to an end. Since the animated series ended, many fans have tried to imagine what the babies would look like as adults. Some have even drawn their own ideas about the characters as adults.
Eric Molinsky, one of the storyboard artists for the series, thinks they have it all wrong. In fact, he decided to share his own interpretation of the babies as adults. He shared it via his own website, Studio 360, recently.

What did Molinsky have to say about the drawings of others and his own interpretation. He said:
“It really bugs me – not the quality of the artwork, but the interpretation. We referred to them as lumpy babies for a reason. If we ever drew the Rugrats as being too cute, our executive producer would scold us…So no. The Rugrats did not all grow up to be fashion models or self-confident hipsters. Especially not Chuckie. They probably grew up to be average if not slightly lumpy looking people – just like their parents.”
Were you a fan of Rugrats? What do you think of Molinsky’s drawing of the adult Rugrats? Tell us what you think.
Where’s Angelica??? What would she look like although she was older than they were……….
Molinsky IS DEAD ON with the look!!!! Bring the cartoon back with them looking like this and call it “THE RUGRATS ALL GROWN UP”. The storylines would be good because they are an average bunch, and a lot of stories could be told with them still being friends and interacting with one another just like when they were babies.
BRING ‘EM BACK!!!!!!
I don’t know if this is a joke, but they already made a show called that….
Maybe they did have that title, but the premise for a cartoon with them all grown up is still good. The animation they got going on now sucks!
