by Cindy McLennan, December 16, 2015

Discovery Channel TV shows

Discovery Channel has announced the premiere date for its Street Outlaws spin-off. The Street Outlaws: New Orleans TV series kicks off Monday, February 22, 2016, at 9:00pm ET/PT. Street Outlaws: New Orleans is part of Discovery’s Motor Mondays.

The new series features Street Outlaws‘ Kye Kelley. It follows Kelley and his crew of New Orleans street racers, as they try to prove they are the best. Pilgrim Studios’ Craig Piligian and Sam Korkis are executive producers. For Discovery, Craig Coffman is executive producer. Todd Lefkowitz is coordinating producer and Robin Humbert is associate producer.

Get the details from the press release:

Street Outlaws New Orleans
Series Premieres Monday, February 22 at 9PM ET/PT

Street racing is exploding across the country and taking new form, with racers organizing exhilarating, underground street racing leagues and establishing teams to represent their respective cities. One of those fledgling teams is now featured in the new Discovery Channel series: STREET OUTLAWS: NEW ORLEANS. The new series, which premieres Monday, February 22 at 9pm ET/PT on Discovery, follows a motley crew of street racers in The Big Easy as they band together to prove they are the nation’s fastest. Featured on Discovery’s Motor Mondays, the original STREET OUTLAWS is Monday night’s #1 cable series for men (M25-54, M18-49, M18-34; excl. sports). Last season was the series’ most-watched (P2+) and highest-rated ever, and now they’re taking on New Orleans.

Kye Kelley is no stranger to the street racing circuit, having dominated the winner-take-all “Cash Days” – seen on last season’s STREET OUTLAWS – against 32 of the nation’s most elite racers, including Oklahoma City’s fastest. With his winning ’92 Camaro “The Shocker,” Kelley heads back to the Bayou to defend his title and build a crew of the fastest racers in the Southeast. However, now with a target on his back, Kelley must quickly adjust to life at the top.

In addition to keeping his crown, Kelley wants to put The Big Easy on the map for street racing. Rallying a team of New Orleans racers will prove to be a challenge with high stakes, bigger battles, more smack talk and faster cars than this city’s ever seen.

STREET OUTLAWS: NEW ORLEANS is produced for Discovery Channel by Pilgrim Studios; Craig Piligian and Sam Korkis are executive producers. For Discovery, Craig Coffman is executive producer, Todd Lefkowitz is coordinating producer, and Robin Humbert is associate producer.

I HATE the new show just sucks plain & simple! Every person who watches the OKC the original show knows you’re trying to make more money from a spin off w kye k. Riding on the 405 coat tails just like u did with misfit garage that was a spin off from Gas Monkey garage and we see that didn’t last. I did not watch 1 second of S.O of New Orleans & its funny that the OKC street outlaws never heard his name once or seen kye at cash days…….hmmmm Also funny that the lil **** built a promod… Read more »

Everyone must realize that the N.O. show takes place when the 405 season is in hiatus.
So in the mean time while we wait for production to get the 405 show ready , we have the N.O. boys to keep us tuned up !
I welcome the New Orleans program even though I prefer the original Oklahoma Outlaws !

Just watched the first new season 7 episode of the original series and it was good. So glad to be watching the 405 again. So much more personality and so much more likeable. I hope NO is done for good. Stopped watching them after episode 3 and won’t watch anymore if they bring it back.

No match to the real deal 405 guys, everything about them is so much better, the racing, the pranks n the best of all “FARM TRUCK” can’t bit it. Please bring the 405 back. Kai can have there crew visit but not to run the show.
