Another TV show won’t be coming back. A&E has cancelled The Returned after one season of 10 episodes.
On The Returned, the residents of a small town have their lives turned upside down when some of their loved ones appear to return from the dead. The cast includes Mark Pellegrino, Tandi Wright, Jeremy Sisto, India Ennenga, Sophie Lowe, Mat Vairo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Kevin Alejandro, Sandrine Holt, Dylan Kingwell, Aaron Douglas, Rhys Ward, Leah Gibson, Agnes Bruckner, and Michelle Forbes.
The series debuted with disappointing ratings on March 9th, garnering a 0.58 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.54 million viewers. The numbers got much worse as the season progressed and the 10 episodes ended up averaging a 0.38 demo rating with 1.05 million viewers.
To no surprise, the cable channel has decided not to order any additional episodes. The defacto series finale of The Returned aired on May 11th.

BUT WHYYYY??! I mean it’s June now and I didn’t even come across this series until a few days ago and I would definitely recommend it to my everyone I know if I’d have known it wasn’t cancelled. Sure the viewings may have been low in March but I mean maybe they should have advertised it more? If I would’ve seen this being advertised I would have run home and begun watching it! Was waiting for season 2. Sux that it was cancelled.
Thought the show was great. However, I also watched the series on Netflix just like many others did. Too bad we didn’t catch on in time for them to continue. I would like to know how it goes on.
I just finished this on Netflix and binge watched it! I loved the storyline and characters! It made me so sad to see that there was not going to be a second season 🙁
Just finished season one of The Returned on Netflix. Very interesting series that kept me wanting to watch more as the story developed. I now just found out it was cancelled. Very disappointed. Hate watching a good series and it not have some closure and leaves its viewers hanging.
I also just watched The Returned on Netflix as did a co-worker and we both thought is was great. This sow should continue. Interesting story line and good acting.

I just found this show on Netflix and really loved it. I wish they would bring it back. I’m not going to watch the French version.

Saw on netflix, Great Show, didn’t even know it was on A&E. Very disappointed no season 2.
Was a good show. Just needed a patience to get into it. Then you are hooked. We need a season 2. Very disappointed
