Another TV show won’t be coming back. A&E has cancelled The Returned after one season of 10 episodes.
On The Returned, the residents of a small town have their lives turned upside down when some of their loved ones appear to return from the dead. The cast includes Mark Pellegrino, Tandi Wright, Jeremy Sisto, India Ennenga, Sophie Lowe, Mat Vairo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Kevin Alejandro, Sandrine Holt, Dylan Kingwell, Aaron Douglas, Rhys Ward, Leah Gibson, Agnes Bruckner, and Michelle Forbes.
The series debuted with disappointing ratings on March 9th, garnering a 0.58 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.54 million viewers. The numbers got much worse as the season progressed and the 10 episodes ended up averaging a 0.38 demo rating with 1.05 million viewers.
To no surprise, the cable channel has decided not to order any additional episodes. The defacto series finale of The Returned aired on May 11th.

I want a season 2 no fare! I just watched season one on Netflix and now I was hoping for season 2 how can they do that!!!!
I am so upset, I just finished watching the last episode and can’t believe there isn’t a second season. I loved it I was additicted! And now we’ll never know how or why they returned! I agree with Judy V I wish there were a way Netflix could pick up the second season
Just so sad there is no season 2, loved it and was so looking forward to the next season and then, total shock, there isn’t one…please reconsider…..please….
I really enjoyed watching the tv series “The Returned”. I was hooked from the first episode. I started watching it on Netflix and was really disappointed when they didn’t have season 2. I don’t know why they decided not to go ahead with season 2. The acting was pretty good and the storyline was really interesting. I’ve seen other tv series where the ratings is poor and the acting is terrible…not to mention that the plot does not make any sense and It’s utterly boring, and still they keep that kind of series going. Loved this show!!! It was very intetesting, intriguing, and I’m VERY disappointed to find out this and Damian were canceled. With better advertising, you may have had a shot at both making better ratings. Yours is the only station I will cautiously watch new series as each time I find a great show, you guys cancel it!!!!
