On The Strain, New York City is rapidly falling to an evil epidemic, and no one is coming to its rescue. Its citizens must fight for survival while a diverse team tries to find a way to stop the Master and his creatures. I love the strain, I look forward to every episode. It’s creative and not just a typical zombie apocalypse. Writers have found a way to make this show detailed and yet realistic to an adult that wants to use that inner imagination to justify the possibility of an outbreak of such major consequences and the reaction of society. The only downfall is the amount of time in between seasons. More good vampires, more master, more flashbacks, no romance, get rid of Efff and the scientist and replace them , very boring unlikable characters. End the whole mother and son arch already.
More old men they are all great characters and actors. I feel like I do fast forward a lot though just to skip a lot of slow parts.
I really like this show-however what is the deal with the good vampires??? Bring them back and more of the story. The 1st set was awesome then they got killed off and I was pissed…then brought the more bad ass one and well we haven’t seen him in over 2 episodes-what the hell!!! I love this show! Sure it has it’s flaws but you cannot beat the suspense that keeps me coming back. I love the characters and I can’t wait to see what happens next. It’s what escapism TV is all about.

Well, this show is awful… I started watching because of G. del Toro but I could not be more unhappy about it. I love the epidemic theme, but this one just decided to mess a very good idea (the plane plot) with a poor storyline (worms and vampires and religious ********? come on).
You may have stopped watching before things really got good. ..
I love this show. Its great and gets better each week. Its a great to fill in on the off time of the walking dead.
The show is indeed awful. The acting is bad, the dialogue is bad, the plot is so-so. There are just so many problems with this show, big and small and none have been remedied in this 2nd season. The lead characters are unlikeable, especially Eph. He is unlikeable in all respects. The vampires movements and acting is over the top & laughable. The dialogue is barley interesting and the plot seems to limp along. The Strain is one of the most innovative shows on t.v. with its thought provoking science , and intricate characteration of New York City populas one should stay on the edge of ones chair, with baited breath, waiting for the next airing
