America Olivo and Mark Leslie Ford are headed to Mars. Deadline reports the two actors have been cast in The CW’s untitled Mars colonization pilot.

The series comes from Reign writer Doris Egan.

The untitled pilot “follows a team of explorers who arrive on Mars to join the first human colony on the planet, only to discover that their predecessors have vanished.”

Olivo has been cast as Captain Gautier, the leader of the exploration team. Ford will play “Friedman, a director and documentarist hired to capture the recruiting process and mission to Mars.”
