Animaniacs has found their new leader. Deadline reports Wellesley Wild has been named as showrunner for the upcoming Hulu reboot series.
As reported earlier, the streaming service has ordered a two-season revival of the ’90s animated TV show. The original series centered on the adventures of siblings Yakko, Wakko, and Dot and a wide cast of characters on the WB lot. The show ran on FOX Kids from 1993 to 1995 and continue on The WB from 1995 to 1998.
Wellesley Wild will serve as the showrunner and executive producer for Hulu’s Animaniacs reboot. Wild has previously worked on Family Guy and the short-lived FOX comedy Dads. But who else is joining the Animaniacs revival?
Recently, voice actor Rob Paulsen (Pinky, Yakko) spoke to the San Francisco Chronicle about the Hulu reboot. While Paulsen didn’t reveal if he will return for the Animaniacs reboot, he did say he thinks the show will be a success.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Animaniacs? Will you watch the Hulu reboot?
