The border has been closed. According to The Hollywood Reporter, FOX has cancelled their new animated series Bordertown.
Set on the United States-Mexico border, the comedy centered on two families—the Buckwalds and the Gonzalezes. The voice cast included Hank Azaria, Alex Borstein, Judah Friedlander, Nicholas Gonzalez, and Missi Pyle.
Currently nearing the end of its first season, Bordertown has not fared well in the ratings. So far, the show has only received an average of .75 in the 18-49 demo and 1.788 million viewers.

i wish they would have given it another year. such a good platform for social satire. sometimes it takes a little time to develop the characters. i think that’s what happened here. it seemed like each episode got better. as the characters got more comfortable in their own skin the writing got better. also a very talented cast of actors and writers. will be sad to see it go. i was looking foward to next year.

Bordertown is awesome. It has that funny sense of humor that comedians share on stage or sitcoms. It should be renewed. Nothing different from family guy, simpsons , etc. Give it a chance. Thank you.

Can’t understand why this was canceled. Best guess is FOX didn’t want to pony up $$$$. Really enjoyed this show. Sad to see it go.
