NBC tried out 10 new TV series during the regular 2016-17 television season and cancelled four of them. Now, the Peacock Network is introducing The Brave. Can it live up to its title and perform heroically, or will it fall as so many who have gone on before it? Will The Brave be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
An undercover military drama, The Brave TV show stars Anne Heche, Mike Vogel, Natacha Karam, Demetrius Grosse, Noah Mills, Hadi Tabbal, Tate Ellington, and Sofia Pernas. The NBC series centers on Captain Adam Dalton (Vogel) who leads his Special Ops squad on dangerous field missions across the globe. Back in their Washington D.C. headquarters, D.I.A. Deputy Director Patricia Campbell (Heche) oversees the unit which provides support and analysis for Dalton and company. While this elite team usually faces seemingly insurmountable odds, they are dedicated to completing their missions successfully, regardless of the dangers and challenges thrown at them. **Status update below.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
1/30 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Did you like The Brave TV series? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a second season on NBC?
**5/11/2018 Status Update: The Brave has been cancelled by NBC after one season. Details here.
We love this show! The acting is just the best and the situations are plausible. The actions of the actors are professional as you would expect from true military personnel. Please do not cancel this show. It keeps us on the edge of our seats wondering how the team will solve a situation that seems impossible. The team truly works together as a team should with all members using their special talents for the good of the team and for solving the problem presented to them. We like the morality of the group that is to do the right thing… Read more »
Please dont cancel. The wofe and i love it. Best show on TV
Love love love this show
Do not cancel the show has a great cast and interesting storylines I watch it every week
Love the show
Love this show. There is so much more to develop. Hope it gets a season 2
The show should be renewed for another season. The only bad numbers showing were the night of the College Football National Championship game. I don’t understand why the different networks aired new shows that night! (January 8)
It is one of the smartest gripping shows on network since the first season of Homeland- and I can see with a cult following with people like us who normally do not engage as much. We bought the season on Roku after the first episode. You have to give it more time to breathe.
Please do not cancel this show !! Love it !! Holds your interest and acting is really good!!
My favorite new show. Please renew for second season. Great acting and writing.
Please renew
One of the best shows of its kind that NBC has given us in a very long time! The action is very realistic and suspenseful. NBC needs to renew this show!
Really well acted with sure grasp of world events it depicts. Vogel is very good as is young girl on his team. One of those shows which will grow audience with time. I am a published novelist living in New York City.
Renew!!! I can’t believe there is even a possibility of canceling. There is so much crap on TV but The Brave is awesome. If it’s because of ratings, Nielsen’s statistics are incredibly flawed anyway. Everyone I know loves this show and none of them are tracked by Neilsen.
Crazy good show. Wish NBC would give it a better time slot and renew already. Best cast and now that it’s got 12 episodes, it’s found its nitch. I’d say from episode 5 on…..
