TV show description:
This gritty medical drama revolves around an Emergency Room in Los Angeles where underfunding and understaffing pile huge pressure on its staff. A “code black” is issued when the ER no longer has the manpower, capacity or equipment to operate effectively.
Doctor Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) is the ER Residency Director. She’s a brilliant doctor and an experienced professional who often has to resort to her intuition as opposed to standard medical procedures in order to save lives. She reminds her staff that life is measured in split seconds and a moment of hesitation can be the difference between life and death.
On the flip side to Leanne’s risk-taking is Doctor Neal Hudson (Raza Jaffrey) who is constantly at odds with her cavalier attitude.
Leanne’s confidante is Senior Nurse Jesse Salander (Luis Guzman) who’s seen it all at the country’s most notorious ER. His job is to manage the residents. Like the other technicians, doctors and nurses, he is facing a daily battle to save lives under immense pressure.
Mario Savetti (Benjamin Hollingsworth), Christa Lorenson (Bonnie Somerville), Angus Leighton (Harry Ford) and Malaya Pineda (Melanie Chandra) are all first-year residents coming to terms with the harsh realities of their chosen profession.
Episode #47 — Business of Saving Lives
Angels Memorial descends into chaos when a plane crashes into the eighth floor. Also, it is up to Mario to save Noa’s life when she has a car accident. In addition, Willis admits to Rox that he needs her in his life, and the doctors gather in court to support Leanne for her custody hearing.
First aired: July 18. 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Code Black TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for season four on CBS?
Please do not cancel this show I think it is the next ER I am an ER nurse and code black is as real as it gets. I watch it every week and so do a lot if our er staff
We really like this show and watch it every week. Look forward to it. I would dislike seeing a program with intelligence, good dialogue, and intensity removed from the lineup.
Please don’t cancel – there are still stories to tell
please do not cancel code black I love this show best show since
ER leave on air for at least another 20 years I was really mad when this other show came on last wed I want code black back I look forward to this every week
An excellent show, better than most medical dramas.
This is an outstanding show and will have a long run with the audiences if the network continues to renew it. If I had any complaint it would be that sometime the background noise and/or music makes it difficult to hear what the characters are saying. This is one of the few TV series that my wife and I watch consistently.
Please do not cancel Code Black. So many bad shows still on. This is a very entertaining series.
love this series, I hate it when it’s taken off , I am sick of the dumb series like 2 broke girls , I like all the staff on Code Black they rock the show

I love Code Black and am looking forward to new shows.
The acting is awful and the scenarios are ridiculous! But some how – I find myself still watching. The facial expressions esp of Angus are so terrible – Horrible acting! But yet – I can’t look away…… 🙂
My family and I love Code Black. We watch it weekly and look forward to it. Please renew it. It is a wonderful show. Love it!!!! Code Black Rocks!
This is one of my 2 favorite shows. I wait every week for it to come on. I think it has an amazing cast and story line. I actually prefer this er show over Chicago ER. I hope you renew this show so I have something on tv to keep looking forward to watch.
