TV show description:
This gritty medical drama revolves around an Emergency Room in Los Angeles where underfunding and understaffing pile huge pressure on its staff. A “code black” is issued when the ER no longer has the manpower, capacity or equipment to operate effectively.
Doctor Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) is the ER Residency Director. She’s a brilliant doctor and an experienced professional who often has to resort to her intuition as opposed to standard medical procedures in order to save lives. She reminds her staff that life is measured in split seconds and a moment of hesitation can be the difference between life and death.
On the flip side to Leanne’s risk-taking is Doctor Neal Hudson (Raza Jaffrey) who is constantly at odds with her cavalier attitude.
Leanne’s confidante is Senior Nurse Jesse Salander (Luis Guzman) who’s seen it all at the country’s most notorious ER. His job is to manage the residents. Like the other technicians, doctors and nurses, he is facing a daily battle to save lives under immense pressure.
Mario Savetti (Benjamin Hollingsworth), Christa Lorenson (Bonnie Somerville), Angus Leighton (Harry Ford) and Malaya Pineda (Melanie Chandra) are all first-year residents coming to terms with the harsh realities of their chosen profession.
Episode #47 — Business of Saving Lives
Angels Memorial descends into chaos when a plane crashes into the eighth floor. Also, it is up to Mario to save Noa’s life when she has a car accident. In addition, Willis admits to Rox that he needs her in his life, and the doctors gather in court to support Leanne for her custody hearing.
First aired: July 18. 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Code Black TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for season four on CBS?
should definitely be renewed
Should be renewed–please!
Code Black is a not to be missed drama. Tired of the constant stream of REALTY programs. Situations very life like and acting makes the story line very true to life. Please keep it on the air and expand the program coverage.
RENEWED YES ! !
Engrossing and well-written. I look forward to experiencing each episode. Happy to hear it’s returning.
Love this show. Look forward to it every week!
Love this show! Please please do not cancel!
I love code black! Always waiting for the next episode! One of the few shows my fiance and I watch together.
This is a realistic show that is one of my favorites. It has the potential to rank up there with the original NCIS in my opinion. PLEASE keep this quality show in the programming.
Absolutely the best medical show on tv!!!! Its the only show that deals with real life situations. There’s no relationship dramas…It always stays about the medical stuff. Get rid of all the stupid reality shows!!!!
I love this show. It shows some of what really goes on in a hospital. Great interaction between cast members. Good story lines and reality. Please don’t take this off the air. Very entertaining
Code Black should not be cancelled Its the best Medical Program on TV It has passion and believability. because its honest about medical employees and what they go through to save patients
I love this show. I was a medical sales professional and had the opportunity to call on ER units and this show with the acting, storylines , the intensity of the trauma ER units , etc in my opinion were excellent. This show must stay on the air.
Def keep please..love this show! Best one on tv. There are so many others being cancelled(because they’re terrible) that this one deserves more time. The combination of actors is great!
After 35 years of being a Medic, I can say that CODE BLACK is the best of the best when it comes to ER Medicine based shows. KEEP THIS ONE!!!!! Remove the mindless shows with absolutely no point to them.
