TV show description:
This gritty medical drama revolves around an Emergency Room in Los Angeles where underfunding and understaffing pile huge pressure on its staff. A “code black” is issued when the ER no longer has the manpower, capacity or equipment to operate effectively.
Doctor Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) is the ER Residency Director. She’s a brilliant doctor and an experienced professional who often has to resort to her intuition as opposed to standard medical procedures in order to save lives. She reminds her staff that life is measured in split seconds and a moment of hesitation can be the difference between life and death.
On the flip side to Leanne’s risk-taking is Doctor Neal Hudson (Raza Jaffrey) who is constantly at odds with her cavalier attitude.
Leanne’s confidante is Senior Nurse Jesse Salander (Luis Guzman) who’s seen it all at the country’s most notorious ER. His job is to manage the residents. Like the other technicians, doctors and nurses, he is facing a daily battle to save lives under immense pressure.
Mario Savetti (Benjamin Hollingsworth), Christa Lorenson (Bonnie Somerville), Angus Leighton (Harry Ford) and Malaya Pineda (Melanie Chandra) are all first-year residents coming to terms with the harsh realities of their chosen profession.
Episode #47 — Business of Saving Lives
Angels Memorial descends into chaos when a plane crashes into the eighth floor. Also, it is up to Mario to save Noa’s life when she has a car accident. In addition, Willis admits to Rox that he needs her in his life, and the doctors gather in court to support Leanne for her custody hearing.
First aired: July 18. 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Code Black TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for season four on CBS?
Please do NOT CANCEL!
Please keep Code Black. Marcia Gay Harden is superb. Luis Guzman, Rob lowe, Moon Bloodgood. All wonderful. For me, bed show on tv.
should have been renewed!! love the show
One of the best, smartest shows on television. Goes to
Show how dumbed down tv has become, when moronic shows like Batchelor and Survivor keep going, and a well written, superbly acted show such as this is cancelled. Such a shame CBS didn’t promote it better. For my husband and me, it has been a don’t miss show. Shame on CBS!
Un fricking believable. Why do they do this? Get us all involved in a show then cancel it. Uggggggggg
Love the show ! Sad that it is cancelled
What is wrong with American TV series makers? STOP cancelling all the best shows and renewing the poor and average formulaic ones. Treat your viewers with respect. Some of us have a brain and like to be challenged by our viewing.
Probably the best medical show out there. Would love to see this renewed, even brought back to another channel.
Another good show goes up in smoke, COME ON quit cancelling all the great shows,
Needs to be renewed good show to many good shows being dropped this year and to many stupid shows coming on in Fall
I don’t usually write about TV shows but Code Black is the Best Drama on TV hands down. Puts all other medical shoes to shame. It makes CM and GA look like 2nd rate soap operas. CBS would be foolish to not renew it!
Great show. Hope it is renewed.
This is one of my favorite shows on TV right now. Just checked my DVR and saw it is not on next week, so I got on the computer to check it out. There has only been a few episodes so far and should not be over yet. I can not understand for the life of me why this show keeps getting jerked around. Please tell me its not over.
Love the show. I hope they renew it again.
BEST MEDICAL SHOW EVER ALREADY PURCHASED ENTIRE SEASON 3 ON ITUNES SO I NEVER MISS AN EPISODE AND CAN REWATCH WHENEVER I WANT.
