E!’s So Cosmo TV show has been cancelled after just one season, which premiered in February of this year. Women’s Wear Daily has confirmed the cancellation and indeed, the show has been removed from NBC-Universal’s press site. “Over the course of its brief life, the show averaged a so-so 190,000 viewers, according to Nielsen data,” WWD reports.
An E! reality TV series, So Cosmo followed the tastemakers who helm Cosmopolitan magazine. The cast included former Editor-in-Chief and current Chief Content Officer of Hearst Magazines, Joanna Coles, Diandra Barnwell (Brand Coordinator), Tiffany Reid (Senior Fashion Editor), Steven Brown (Bookings Director), Evan Betts (Fitness Contributor), Adam Mansuroglu (Fashion Editor), James Worthington Demolet (Senior Fashion Editor) and Leah Wyar (Executive Beauty Director).
The eight episodes of the first and only season of So Cosmo ran on E! between February 8 and March 29, 2017. Meanwhile, The Bold Type, a scripted drama inspired by Coles’ career, premiered on Freeform on July 11th.

This show was actually watched all over the world, not just America. You made a really bad move with this cancellation.
What?! Why?! That show was so fresh and so upbeat and it was a real ray of light! I can not believe you would cancel a show that actually had potential. Some of us are fed up with the Kardashians of the world and really want something like So Cosmo. Please reconsider, this is really bad and as many people here I am also very upset. And I’m even not from USA!
I LOVED THE SHOW…I EVEN SUBSCRIBED Too the Magazine…please reconsider bringing it back….Where is Ryan Secrist? MAYBE HE WILL PRODUCE THE SHOW!

I loved So Cosmo!!! I was sad to hear the show had been cancelled…I will remain a forever fan.
I cant believe it’s cancelled..it had so many cliff hangers and i loved it. What are you all thinking. That was so upsetting im mad! You want scripted shows to come back and scale down reality..you took the best show ive seen in a while. I watched it on On Demand and when i saw episode 8 left so much i really think your out of your minds.

I am SO BUMMED! We all loved So Cosmo!!! WHY IS IT CANCELLED!!!! That makes no sense.
The show had all the markings of a reality tv show, but it also had incredible insight to the inner workings of a fashion/marketing/creative agency etc. I work in marketing and we would pull clips from the show as talking points in our team meetings! Like Silicon Valley is to the tech industry, So Cosmo was to the creative world. It was an easy watch, highly relatable, and had great content. Wishing it wasn’t cancelled…

So Cosmo was a great show! It came on at the same time as other hot Wednesday night shows like Empire, so I could see how ratings were low. I was looking forward to a second season!
