Broadcasting Cable has confirmed the Crime Watch Daily with Chris Hansen TV show has been renewed for a third season in syndication.
Warner Bros.’ true-crime news magazine series premiered in 2015 as Crime Watch Daily. When Hansen joined the series in season two, the title changed to reflect his position as host. Correspondents include Matt Doran, Michelle Sigona, Andrea Isom, Jason Mattera, Ana Garcia, and Elizabeth Smart.

“As we have continued to evolve Crime Watch Daily and brought on Chris Hansen, our faith in the concept has been rewarded by positive ratings momentum. We are thrilled our partner stations agree and have renewed the series for a third season,” said Ken Werner, president, WBDTD.
Crime Watch Daily premiered September 2015 and was sold to Tribune Broadcasting as both the launch group and a partner on the show. It premiered at a 0.8 live plus same day household rating, according to Nielsen Media Research. This season, when the show added Hansen of Dateline’s “To Catch a Predator” fame and moved to the streets of New York City, its ratings jumped to a 1.0 household rating season to date, up 20%. The show also is up 23% among young women aged 18-34.

One of my favorite shows. Chris is such a class act. I’m thrilled you’re coming back.
I love and believe in the show’s function. I do know a an ex-cop, Chuck Bergman who can enter rooms and tell what happened or who might have been involved. Everything has a vibration and energy and it can be felt and read by those who are sensitive to them. There are also individuals who can talk to animals as well. These skills could be quite valuable.
I absolutely love Crime Watch Daily in my opinion for some reason its better and more than all of the other reality crime shows and I don’t know why but I’ll tell you this before Chris Hansen came along you really didn’t see people get busted for being disgusting and being predators and preying on children like on his past tv show to catch a predator and I think and feel that they couldn’t have gotten a better person for a better crime reality show keep up the great work and keep giving people hope and no I’m not knocking… Read more »
I am a former victim of a home invasion where I was both physically and sexually assaulted. ❔ Some might think this show would be upsetting for a victim; however, I found it to be very comforting. I feel as if we learn both mistakes we make with our safety and how to make ourselfs safer! Absolutely love this show, it’s just such a great, informative, knowledgeable show. I’m glad to hear thats it’s been renewed. I wish I could find out when the 17-18 season starts. I would love to know, if anyone has heard please reply. I would appreciate it.
