A few months after Starz cancelled their historical fantasy drama, creator David S. Goyer says there’s a possibility for a season four in the future.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Goyer said he has plans for the show to return in a few years for a limited run. The story would follow Da Vinci about 15 years after the close of season three during the “Bonfire of the Vanities.”
Begun in 2013, Da Vinci’s Demons follows a semi-fictionalized account of Leonardo da Vinci, his creations, and his dealings with the powerful Medici family. The series’ third and (for now) final season will begin airing on October 24, 2015, and Goyer promises a “satisfying ending.”

This has closure. For the fans, it’s hard to do a good ending. You hate those shows that don’t end because they got yanked. This isn’t that. We debated whether or not this would be an end. Fans will be really satisfied with the end.”

I really enjoyed watching the show. I want to know if DaVinci will ever find the book of leaves. I think there should be a season four!
This was not even close to half the truth. Smithsonian and National Geographic have done shows about who DaVinci’s mother really was. She was either an Arab or a Turk, and the Italians brought back many of these women as slaves and some married them. And like Michelangelo, DaVinici was gay. Historical evidence shows that both were gay and liked the company of men. Da Vinci stated many times that he though women “were foreign and strange”. He was not the swashbuckling, sword wielding, bi-sexual they make him out to be on this show. It is ludicrous!
I have rewatched the series cause I had another craving for Leo and Zo. I just googled S4 to see when it would be released, and got a horrible surprise! I have no idea how they could cancel it. It is literally one of very few historically set tv shows that have an authentic type feel…even though its fictionalised. It doesnt feel hyped or clean. Or even set up. Its just great tv in an age where great tv is hard to come by. This is one show that needs to continue…The ending of S3 just didnt do it justice.
Da Vinci’s Demons isn’t overly melodramatic and it’s not lacking in action and intrigue either (which is more than I can say for most other tv shows). Bear McCreary assembled the soundtrack. I’m overwhelmed with ecstasy and enchantment every time I hear the opening theme in Eb G Cm and G#m. what a song!the cast is great, the characters are refreshing, the costumes are convincing and the scenery and props are compelling. the only reason this show wasn’t more popular is because it doesn’t appeal to dim-witted audiences abroad. this is a show for thinkers, and audience members who possess… Read more »

i totally agree they could have done so much with this show . i was dissapointed when i heard they cancelled it. this show will always be far above black sails.
Would love another season (4) of Da Vinci’s Demons! So interesting when you have adventures about fantastic characters who are historical. It adds such depth and richness to the series. Please, more Da Vinci ❤️
I really hate that they cancelled this show. One of the few good ones. Maybe we will get lucky and they will bring it back, but hopefully not taking up 15 years later. There was so much that they could have done with this show as far as story lines. I absolutely loved this show. I do not like Black Sails at all.
I’m relieved to find so many other people that felt similarly unmoved by Black Sails. screw that show. I’m usually very receptive to anything that involves high-adventure, fantasy, and historical places and people yet for some reason Black Sails is a **** show! what is it lacking, I’ve often wondered? better writing and an increased pace most likely, because the plot is slow (and not in a good way either)
There are so many questions unanswered in season 3. Bringing it back a few years later will only bring damage to the show as people might not be as excited as now expect for the fans.
One of my favorite shows. I tried watching Black Sails hated it! The only series on Starz is Outlander. If it moves to another network I will cancel Starz. Bringing it back when Divinci is 15 years older is stupid idea.
Best show I have seen in many many years continue its a good show waiting for season 4

A really great show. I love how truth and fantasy was mixed. It was hard to see the line. I would really like to see more. Maybe how the Mona Lisa came about with the codes in it.
As everyone have said, this show is the only reason I subscribe to Starz. Before this show, Starz was not a household name, was not interested in their shows at all. Da Vinci’s Demons changed all that and pretty much saved the dying network. Now they are cancelling this show stating the reason “to give advantage to other shows on the network that are doing A LITTLE BIT better”. I have really really enjoyed the show and wish it would continue, not enough like this out there, actually very educational and interesting. Quite the mind, love how they interpreted how he saw things as drawings. Love it!
