The ratings have continued to sink but Dancing with the Stars will be back for a 21st season on ABC.
In the current season, Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews have returned as hosts. Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Julianne Hough are back as judges.
Compared to last spring’s edition of DWTS, the series’ averages are down by 15% in the 18-49 demographic (1.97 rating) and down by 10% in total viewers (13.2 million). Still, it’s one of the network’s highest-rated reality shows in the demo and their highest-rated show in total viewers. In short, it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

I love the show, it is a great show with lots of fun and beautiful dancing and dancers, HOWEVER, I think it is a shame that the network or whomever elected to allow Julianne Hough to be a judge when her brother is a top and talented dancer on DWTS…..but I don’t think many viewers really feel she can be impartial in judging her brother. I’m a senior who loves genealogy and has never had cable TV or a smart phone. I don’t text or hash tag. When they are announced, I don’t know who most of the younger contestants are, but I try to research everyone before the first week starts. I chart their families and relationships. I vote almost every week, even though I hate having to miss at least part of Castle to do it. I’m well aware that there’s quite a bit of popularity involved in the voting. Have watch it from when it first started and still do. It is the hottest show for me I enjoy dance very much and all the stars that they bring on for each season. Lets keep it going. For the viewers who don’t know who the stars are do your research on them and see the programs that they have been on or your just are not in the right age group.
Have watched the show since it started out still enjoy it very much. Do not cancel my show. For the viewers out there how don’t know the starts that they they bring on each season, you have not been around long enough to see some of them or heard of them do your research and see the list of programs they have been on in the past.
My mom, my sister and I are huge fans of DWTS.
What if instead of competing, Derek, Mark, Kym and Julianne mentored 2 -3 pairs of celebrity dancers ?
I love dancing with the stars. My daughter and I watch it every season and love it. Yes some of the stars on the show are people we don’t know or have barely heard of but its about the dancing as well. Love the dancers, judges and hosts! Keep the seasons coming!
I still love DWTS and will continue to watch it. I would like to see judges scores weighted more so someone really good doesn’t get voted off too soon.
I totally agree with you. Some people left the show way too early, while others stayed way too long.
It’s called “DANCING with the stars”, but i feel like towards the end of season 20 when both Ryker and Rumer were getting tens, it was just a popularity contest.
Not to mention Willow Sheilds’ unbelievable elimination.
If it was up to me, I’d make votes like 1/4 of the overall and the judges scores 3/4. Or something along these lines.
After the outrageous voting of fans and judges this year, if ABC doesn’t canceled it, I will from my watching schedule. Yes, Noah did well, but better than Pattie, Suzanne and Robert?
And to have Nastia voted off is absolutely unbelievable!!
The sympathy vote for Noah was nice, but went way overboard.
DWTS has ran it’s course after this years’ judging and voting.
It certainly won’t be getting my vote again.
I have called them and told them to change the way they do it. The changes I would make would be to have all the couples dance the same dance. I would do this each week. I would not have team dances. They all get the same score that way. They should be scored separately. I would also eliminate trios.

Should have mentioned… it you’re sick of DWTS’s, tune in during the summer to SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE….. it has very talented kids dancing. It’s soooo much better.
1. I don’t like that they tell the couples they are in Jeopardy before they even dance. Wait until everyone had danced, then do the countdown. 2. I wish the Tuesday Night Result’s Show would be permanent which would eliminate my first complaint. 3. I would like to see a season where nobody has any dance experience. However, my wife and do love the show and next season, we hope Derek won’t bite off more than he can chew.
I think dancing with the stars has had it days same thing over and over again year after year dancing with the stars has lost my interest it is time for dancing with stars well go dancing off the air bring something different in dancing.
Well, since you have lost interest in DWTS, maybe you can find a course in English, and sentence structure, in your local middle school, and hopefully learn, not to do run-on sentences. Unless, that’s how you normally talk. Just a helpful suggestion.
