Rock Center with Brian Williams may have been cancelled but NBC’s other news program, Dateline, isnt going anywhere. The peacock network quietly renewed the show for a 23rd season when they included it on their 2013-14 schedule.

Currently anchored by Lester Holt, Dateline has been a staple of the network since March 1992 and has become a utility player of sorts — often airing multiple times in one week, sometimes filling timeslots when other shows get canned.
