Well, that was quick. After just two weeks, CBS has pulled their new Doubt TV show from the Wednesday schedule. Has the series been cancelled? Will it be back?
The Doubt TV show stars Katherine Heigl as Sadie Ellis; Elliot Gould as Isaiah Roth; Laverne Cox as Cameron Wirth; Dreama Walker as Tiffany Simon; and Kobi Libii as Nick Brady. Sadie is a brilliant attorney who starts to fall for her charismatic client. Pediatric surgeon Billy Brennan (Steven Pasquale) was recently accused of murdering his girlfriend, 24 years ago. Sadie has to hide her growing feelings from everyone, including her close friend and colleague, Albert Cobb (Dulé Hill). Getting involved with her client could put Sadie’s career and happiness at risk — particularly if Billy is found guilty. She must work all the harder to prove reasonable doubt, even while she has some doubts of her own.
When the series debuted two weeks ago, there was no “doubt” that the new CBS drama series was already in trouble. The premiere attracted a meager 0.76 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.31 million viewers. This week’s installment drew a 0.60 rating with 4.03 million. Those figures are just too low for “the most-watched network” and CBS has now pulled Doubt from the schedule.
On March 1st, Doubt will be replaced by a rerun of Bull and, on March 8th, CBS will launch the second season of Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders. While CBS has not officially cancelled Doubt, there’s no chance that they’ll be renewing it for a second season.
The network ordered 13 episodes of Doubt and all of them have reportedly been completed. Prior to the series being pulled, CBS had only scheduled four more installments of Doubt. In the past, CBS has burned off leftover episodes of cancelled series on Saturday nights over the summer months.

I loved the show. I never heard of it, and came by it when flipping channels… so I guess I missed the first couple. I especially liked the cliffhanger, when Sadie learned her boyfriend possibly was the killer. So sad to see it’s not coming back. It was in a terrible time slot, against established shows.
Please bring it back. my favorite new show!

It sometimes takes a minute for a show to catch on and draw an audience. The broadcast time or the day of the week could be an issue. I LOVE Doubt! The cliffhanger is chilling. The various cases held my interest. And the interraction of the characters and the dialogue were authentic . The show offered an excellent mix of humor as well as drama. Please renew or sell to Netflix!
Please renew DOUBT! I love the chemistry of the actors and the storylines are so interesting. I don’t understand how the ratings were low. I would hope that CBS would give it more publicity or a different time slot.
Please renew the show! It was great! I loved everything about it. Even my husband was getting in to it. Give it another chance….even if it’s just during the summers when the better rating shows are on break. I’ll take that if it means I get to watch the show.
I am really so tired of the networks and their shenanigans that was a great television series for people especially on a Saturday so of course the ratings would be a little bit down but those of us who watched it enjoyed it very much so I hope you don’t snatch it off the air
LOVE LOVE LOVE THS SHOW!!! The only reason numbers dropped in viewers was because CBS stopped airing it! They should’ve never stopped it when it began!!!! PLEASE bring it back for another season!!!

Great show pulled to fast
My daughter who is 17 and i both LOVE LOVE this show! Love all the characters so much. Excellent casting and character development. Nice mix of intrigue and humor. Also we both like the pushing boundaries with stereotypes and the appeal of this side of justice. Please have another season.
As per other viewers you could 1) sell series to Netflicks like Longmire, or 2) make it a summer series.
