Bravo is closing the book on Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce. Deadline reports the series will end with season five.
After the show’s second season aired earlier this year, Bravo picked up the comedy for three more seasons. The series centers on Abby McCarthy (Lisa Edelstein), a self-help author going through a divorce. The cast also includes Beau Garrett, Alanna Ubach, Necar Zadegan, Retta, and Paul Adelstein.
Now, the network has confirmed that the show will last for 19 more episodes, spread across three seasons.
From NBCU Cable Entertainment executive Frances Berwick:
This 19 episode order across 3 seasons enables Marti [Noxon] to tell the story she envisioned for the characters she created without the constraints of season to season orders, fully realized through to completion. This also keeps the series relevant and top of mind for viewers with less waiting time between seasons.”
Bravo has yet to announce when season three will premiere.
