What’s the future look like for Goliath now that it’s won a Golden Globe? Star Billy Bob Thornton recently addressed the possibility of a second season of the Amazon series, Deadline reports.
This past weekend, Thornton picked up the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Television Drama for his role as Billy McBride, a washed up lawyer who takes on the major corporate firm he helped create. The show’s cast also includes Maria Bello, William Hurt, Olivia Thirlby, Sarah Wynter, and Molly Parker.
At the awards, Thornton said Amazon is interested in a season two:
They would like to do another season, I know that much. This one was written in a way that it had a beginning, middle and an end so that was the intention, but I honestly believe there is more potential for this show beyond the first season.”
As of now, Amazon has not announced a renewal or cancellation for Goliath.

Yes watched and and absolutely loved it. Great show great cast. We would love to see a season 2 and beyond. Many new stories that could be explored. We are hoping Amazon goes forward with more seasons. Bravo

This show is soooo good it needs not only a season 2 but a 3, 4, 5 and beyond. I love shows like NCIS and Goliath has the caliber to be that kind of show. Billy Bob Thornton and the rest of the cast is superb, William Hurt never disappoints playing a bad guy and the ladies in the show are all top notch. Excellent cast, great storyline, what’s not to like? Please Amazon, bring it back! We are tired of “reality” TV we want shows with substance. Thank you.
