Jane the Virgin ended its second season with a cliffhanger ending on Monday night, and there are a few teases that the executive producer shared about season three. Jennie Snyder Urman spoke with Deadline about what is next for the popular CW series.
Do not read on if you have not watched the finale.
Season two ended with Michael being shot after he married Jane. Urman teased that fans will learn Michael’s fate early on in season three, and it does sound like his fate will set up the action for season three. She said:
“This next season will center around the idea of growing up — what it means, what it looks like, and what it costs. Also, we will find out who the father of Xo’s baby is and whether she will keep it. After having her own child, will Jane get a little brother or sister next?”
Urman also revealed while Jane ended season two still a virgin, she will not end season three that way. The big moment for Jane will happen next season. In addition, Derek will return next season. He has some business with Rose to deal with.
