What’s This TV Show About?
A cooking competition series airing on the FOX television network, MasterChef features talented home cooks battling for the title, a cookbook deal, and the grand prize of $250,000.00. Joining chefs Gordon Ramsay and Christina Tosi on the season eight judging panel is chef and restaurateur Aarón Sánchez, who served as one of the guest judges, last season. In the eighth installment, in addition to the usual elimination, tag team, and restaurant takeover challenges, the contestants will also cook for 50 VIP guests to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Caesars Palace Las Vegas Hotel and Casino.

This show is such a tease. All that delicious food, and yet for eight seasons, there’s been nary a nibble for this hungry television vulture. Although season eight is down in the ratings, I suspect MasterChef will still be renewed for a ninth season. I’ll keep an eye on the Nielsens and update this page from time to time.
5/22/18 Update: MasterChef has seemingly been renewed for a ninth season.
