Last season, once again, Modern Family saw a dip in the ratings, but it remained ABC‘s top-rated TV series in the coveted demo. There’s essentially no chance that it will be cancelled but, will the ratings continue to slide this year? Stay tuned.
Modern Family revolves around three Los Angeles families who are interrelated through Jay Pritchett and his two adult children. The ensemble cast is Ed O’Neill, Sofía Vergara, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet, Sarah Hyland, Ariel Winter, Nolan Gould, Rico Rodriguez, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, Jeremy Maguire, and Brigitte the French bulldog.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival.
