Though it hasn’t been a ratings success, ABC has kept Nashville on the air. Will the numbers continue to fall this season? Is there a chance that it could be cancelled or is it essentially guaranteed to be renewed for a fourth season (because of potential syndication profits)? We’ll have to wait and see.
The Nashville TV show continues to follow the lives and careers of country music superstars Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) and Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton). The rest of the cast includes Clare Bowen, Eric Close, Charles Esten, Sam Palladio, Jonathan Jackson, Chris Carmack, Lennon Stella, Maisy Stella, Will Chase, and Oliver Hudson.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/8 update: ABC has renewed Nashville for a fourth season.
Final season averages: 1.34 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.16 million total viewers.

Due to a Nielsen glitch, some of the early ratings of the 2014-15 season were revised a few weeks later.
For comparisons: The second season of Nashville averaged a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.34 million total viewers.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the Nashville TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or be renewed for a fourth season?

I absolutely love this show!!!! I was sick that it was NOT on last night!!! Please do not cancel!!!!
I love this show! I have watched it since it first aired and really enjoyed the talented singers and story lines. I was really disappointed when it didn’t air this past Wednesday night. I’m sick of the same old crime shows. I wish Nashville came on an hour earlier too!
Please don’t cancel but moving it to another night like Monday may work better to much on on Wednesday. Also I didn’y know 4 Mar was the finale, can it be advertised more, I was looking all over the place on 11 Mar for Nashville.
March 4th was not the season finale, ABC put other shows in its place for the next 3 weeks. NASHVILLE still has 7 more episodes; it will be back on air April 1st regular time!!!
I really hope this is true! I looked for the show. Someone said it will not air in Louisiana. Is this true?
If you get ABC you will see it..
