Though it hasn’t been a ratings success, ABC has kept Nashville on the air. Will the numbers continue to fall this season? Is there a chance that it could be cancelled or is it essentially guaranteed to be renewed for a fourth season (because of potential syndication profits)? We’ll have to wait and see.
The Nashville TV show continues to follow the lives and careers of country music superstars Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) and Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton). The rest of the cast includes Clare Bowen, Eric Close, Charles Esten, Sam Palladio, Jonathan Jackson, Chris Carmack, Lennon Stella, Maisy Stella, Will Chase, and Oliver Hudson.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/8 update: ABC has renewed Nashville for a fourth season.
Final season averages: 1.34 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.16 million total viewers.

Due to a Nielsen glitch, some of the early ratings of the 2014-15 season were revised a few weeks later.
For comparisons: The second season of Nashville averaged a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.34 million total viewers.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the Nashville TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or be renewed for a fourth season?
Love this show – totally hooked on it. Please let us see a fourth season!

Please Please keep Nashville on I am 74 years young and love it.
L O V E !!!!!!!! This show. The depth of the characters, the acting and the music make it one of the best shows ABC offers. Renew season 4!!!!!!!!!!
I’m in Australia and I’m hooked on this show, though l am forced to stream it on line. It is the highlight of my week watching Nashville. This show is showing that woman don’t have to be the pretty accessory to the lead guy but they are independent, strong and feisty who take control over their own lives. ABC you should be doing more to promote such a great show, with a fantastic soundtrack and brilliant acting. Shame on you if you don’t renew it.
Please renew!!!!! Nashville is my favorite tv show. Renew! Renew!!!!!!
Great show. Love it. I hope its coming back
I love Nashville. It’s an excellent show. Keep it! Thanks!
Love it. One of the best shows on TV.
Aire the show during prime time or at least an hour earlier and watch the ratings soar. I record the show and watch it later because of the late time it airs (10:00 PST).
I agree, I do the same thing
Love Nashville!! Please renew it.
Do not cancel! Finally I found a show I love.
Nashville is a great show for many age groups. A variety of characters with loveable characters. Hayden has me laughing in her pregnancy. Rayna is gutsy and classy.
Deacon is believable in his role. The music is fantastic and shows real talent.
I do get annoyed when I see you have dancelled an episode and there are gaps in our viewing. Please do NOT stop this show . Do the research as to how you can improve the ratings and get to work.
Why is it that good shows are being considered for the chopping block ?
Nasville is a great show that has me hooked. I am in my 50’s and I look forward to this show each and every week. There is a lot of talent and a nice show. I love the characters, the music and the story lines. Whats wrong ?? Perhaps you should feel the spot with another Housewives of ?? The Bachelorette ?
I am so tired of the rounchy reality shows. We keep going from BAD to WORSE !!!
Keep Nashville on. It’s one of the best shows on TV. Good programs are always taken off.
