So a panel of four preachers get their own talk show … is not the set-up for a joke. It’s the premise of FOX’s new talk show, Deadline reports.
The series comes from Bill Geddie, co-creator and executive producer of The View.
The Preachers will feature “four outspoken preachers known for their unique takes on pop culture, news events and spirituality.” The hosts are Houston-based pastor John Gray, Senior Atlanta pastor Dr. E. Dewey Smith Jr., North Carolina pastor Orrick Quick, and Baltimore pastor Dr. Jamal Bryant.
Starting July 11th, the series is begin given a three-week test run on FOX-owned stations in Los Angeles and New York.
What do you think? Would you watch The Preachers?
Sucks. I’m a Christian and insulted. They sit there and act so dumb. They make it seem like sin is cute. I don’t really know WHAT kind of churches they have. I know no one is perfect but these maybe we’re the wrong guys for the panel.
I am a Christian also, but if you represent what Christians are and what they think nowadays we desperately need the Preachers to stay on the air because you need help when you refer to the men as acting dumb and criticizing their churches. You are right when you say no one is perfect and this includes you. I was up–lifted and inspired every day and their topics and guest were real to me.
Keep it on, so needed

This show is refreshing, it is unlike anything else on television. This is the type of encouragement we need at a time like this. Please please keep this show on the air. I will be telling all my friends about it.
This is the best talk show on television. The Preachers is a fresh of breath air. They are down to earth and can relate to the audience. Very inspirational. I hope it last.
I love the show! I pray that the favor of God is with the host and staff of this new phenomenon, God bless you and may he continue to use you!
I love that something other than junk TV and TV just talking about celebrities and bashing one another is on during the daytime and my grandkids can watch it. I hope it stays on the air.
I didn’t think I would like The Preachers as much as I do and like one comment said it was hard to keep my eyes open. That ended with the first show! I have watched John Gray’s World and enjoy his humor with preaching. The other Gentleman I’m growing to like their personalities and to watch a show that gives a spiritual spin on today’s news is something that’s needed. Do I agree with their views on everything? No, and they would all agree that’s what makes America great! They’re opening dialogue and praying this creates positive open discussion of… Read more »
