When it premiered, Quantico was a big hit for ABC. However, the show’s ratings have dwindled since its debut. What do you think? Should the network cancel or renew Quantico for a third season?
The drama series follows Alex Parrish (Priyanka Chopra), a former FBI agent who now works for the CIA. The cast also includes Jake McLaughlin, Aunjanue Ellis, Yasmine Al Massri, Johanna Braddy, Russell Tovey, and Blair Underwood.
Recently, showrunner Josh Safran revealed he’s not counting on the ratings when it comes to Quantico‘s chances for a renewal. Regardless, ratings for season two have been low. Currently, the season is averaging a 0.72 rating in the 18-49 demo and only 2.83 million viewers, making it one of ABC‘s lowest-rated series for the 2016-2017 season.
However, Quantico may still return for a third season. Word is that the show is still profitable for ABC. It’s produced in-house by ABC Studios and makes money via streaming and international deals. On the latter front, it doesn’t hurt that Chopra is a global star.

This show is insulting to the mass majority’s intelligence… All the timeline hopping back and forth and an uninspired lead make a show that started out promising a total dud. ABC should have never let this show see S2.
Honestly i’m not into the first 9 episode of the 2nd season.. but, after the brand new bunker with Clay is in the house I can’t even wait for another eps next weekk! So please, i need season 3! With alex, ryan, shelby, nimah, raina, clay, caleb, and all!! Oh and I love seeing shelby and clay together ✌

I agree with you and I think the show is now really embracing its genre in really cool and entertaining ways. It should be given a 3rd chance to prove it’s worth
Last year at this time ABC fired a lead actress for no good reason and that show had far better ratings. The story line on this show is about as bad as the season 8 Castle story line, and that show got cancelled. So ABC needs to let this show go to, it would save them money.
The cancellation of CASTLE does not mean QUANTICO should not be given another chance. It is trying something new and whatever it is it definitely looks better than it has ever done before. Dont beleive me, check the IMDB rating for the highest rated episodes of Quantico.
I stuck with it about half way through the first season before the bed hopping by all those beautiful people got really boring, as porn tends to do without a good story. I was one of those viewers they lost for season two. I caught a few minutes recently and recognized hardly any of the characters; so a season 3 would go on without me. .
If you join again and have a look at the back-end of S02, you will be in a for a treat because they are one of the best the show has ever done. Come on!!! GIVE IT A TRY!!
I really enjoyed season one, but season two just got so confusing that I’m just bored now. Everything’s simply too unbelievable. The show started out with such promise, but I wish this had been better. Honestly, I won’t be upset if it’s cancelled.
It is again showing promise. Plz I know it lost you. But come back again give the show another chance to enthrall you. You will find the latter half of s02 WAY!! BETTER!!

This show could have been so good but it’s absolutely terrible they blamed the main character too quickly and just dove in headfirst without realising the pool was empty. It’s just stupid.
I think it has had a good run but it’s time to bow out gracefully. It just doesn’t have the same feel as it did in the beginning.
No show has the same feeling as in the beginning. Its common sense! STORIES do what ?—- they CHANGE, CHARACTER ARCS CHANGE AND PLOTLINES DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THAT. Try again maybe you might like it.
It should have a nice death. Like so many of the actors are doing. A little confusing. Plus, how many FBI people look like models with Botox? Too many unbelievable stories.

Honestly, I’m not sure.. If I’m completely honest, I think the season two renewal was a mistake – it should have ended with the result of Season 1. Everything the writers try and do with the story-line now just makes it even worse.. and is likely going to be the death of the show. For example, the whole CIA/AIC thing, at the beginning of season two, was so boring and completely amusing, that I stopped watching, after like two episodes in until the the second half of season two when it has changed to single story-line but even still find… Read more »
I’m still thinking it’s Caleb’s dad behind the whole think, which explains Pelligrino’s conspicuous absence from early episodes of SPN, when he was filming the big reveal for Quantico. or it’s a completely crazy hypotheses.
Cool it with preachy dialogue. Wish some of the writers cld be fired. Good writing is subtle it does not hit you over the head. All in all, great acting, terrible writing.
