When it premiered, Quantico was a big hit for ABC. However, the show’s ratings have dwindled since its debut. What do you think? Should the network cancel or renew Quantico for a third season?
The drama series follows Alex Parrish (Priyanka Chopra), a former FBI agent who now works for the CIA. The cast also includes Jake McLaughlin, Aunjanue Ellis, Yasmine Al Massri, Johanna Braddy, Russell Tovey, and Blair Underwood.
Recently, showrunner Josh Safran revealed he’s not counting on the ratings when it comes to Quantico‘s chances for a renewal. Regardless, ratings for season two have been low. Currently, the season is averaging a 0.72 rating in the 18-49 demo and only 2.83 million viewers, making it one of ABC‘s lowest-rated series for the 2016-2017 season.
However, Quantico may still return for a third season. Word is that the show is still profitable for ABC. It’s produced in-house by ABC Studios and makes money via streaming and international deals. On the latter front, it doesn’t hurt that Chopra is a global star.

1st series was awesome – could not stop watching it, every episode was enthralling with lots of twists & turns!
2nd series seems to have dragged on, considered giving up on it a few times! Plot was all over the place & only the last 2 episodes were really good!
Yessssss I only started watching QUANTICO this month and I didn’t know about it through advertisement. My father and friends recommended it. I am in love wiyh the story line especially Alex, Ryan, Neiman, Reins and Shelby. It is unusual to most National security shows and that’s what makes it interesting. Also a lot of skills and twists which is great. I hope season 3 is even better and full of more surprises.

This is a show that I think can bounce back up in the rating. Was the second season airing on a night a time of another high rating show.

I think ABC should allow a third season. I was about to give up on Quantico because the back-and-forth timeline was annoying and disruptive. I hung in there when I heard they were ending that crazy format. I still think the acting and writers make it a genuinely entertaining drama with likeable characters.

S1 was nice as the story line was fresh but then it got all same in S2- Top officials of very highly selective agencies becoming rogue and the past then future, Just so confusing and boring, just mostly all unbelievable storyline. It should not go for a S3
Trust me! It becomes less confusing and 1000x more interesting in the latter half of S02. It should go for a S03
I am a huge Priyanka Chopra fan, and whatever she decides to do is fine with me. She just moved out of her home in New York (where Quantico is filmed). That is a clear indication to me Quantico won’t be back. But she has announced absolutely nothing, no new films, nada. So anything is possible. Having won 2 People’s Choice awards in a row proves she has a future in Hollywood if she wishes.
