TV show description:
This dramatic science-fiction TV series explores the question “What would you do without it all?” A family struggles to reunite in an American landscape where every single piece of technology — computers, refrigerators, air conditioners, planes, cars, phones, lights — has mysteriously stopped working. Electrical power has simply gone away. The show also revolves around the idea of family — both the family you’re born into and the family you choose.
Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) is the headstrong, curious and daring daughter of Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Ben Matheson (Tim Guinee). Ben is hiding a mysterious secret about the blackout. Maggie (Anna Lise Phillips), a medical doctor, became involved with him following his wife’s death.
When Charlie’s younger and thoughtful brother, Danny (Graham Rogers), is kidnapped by militia leaders, she must reconnect with her estranged uncle Miles Matheson (Billy Burke), a former US Marine and warrior who’s living as a recluse.
Together, with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America. All the while, they explore the enduring mystery of why the power failed and how or if it will ever return.
The rebel group includes fighter Nora (Daniella Alonso); General “Bass” Monroe (David Lyons), a former Marine who served alongside Miles; and Aaron (Zak Orth), a former Google executive and a computer genius who’s ill-prepared for the rigors of the technology-less world.
Captain Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito), a cultured former insurance adjuster turned Monroe Republic leader and Nate Walker (JD Pardo) is a member of the militia who has conflicted feelings for Charlie.
Episode #42 — Declaration of Independence
Miles (Billy Burke), Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Monroe (David Lyons) launch an attack on the Patriots, but must improvise a risky new plan in order to halt the oncoming war between California and Texas. Out for revenge, Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) sets his sights on President Davis (guest star Cotter Smith). Meanwhile, Aaron (Zak Orth) and Rachel’s (Elizabeth Mitchell) efforts to save Priscilla (guest star Maureen Sebastian) from the nano-tech has unexpected consequences.
First aired: May 21, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like the Revolution TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for another season?
I am so depressed that this show was cancelled. It was by far the best show that I have watched in while. I could not wait for Wednesday evenings to get here to watch it! Please bring back this show! You surely cannot just stop this in any way that would be a good ending. I want this show to continue! Cancel another show that is not as good.
I cannot believe Revolution has been cancelled. I absolutely love this show! Please,Please bring it back!
I am so over all these cancellations. Damn. You get hooked on a show and then they decide to cancel because it is not controversal enough and they renew shows I have never even heard of and I am so over “cartoon shows”. Revolution is a wonderful action packed adventure and NBC needs to wake up . Every where I go folks are talking about this show. I am tired of getting interested in a show like this and then you just cancel and leave me hanging. Keep this and I will stop watchin NBC all together. This is not… Read more »
Totally agree! So sick of it. And NBC isn’t the only network that does it! After this season of Sons of Anarchy on FX, i am cancelling television. It just isn’t worth it to get involved with these shows and then they yank them!!!!!! So goodbye television after Sons Season Finale! I will not be watching anything new from now on!!!!
I finally had time to watch last weeks episode. … It will take a whole season to wrap up the plot and sub plots!! The show is intence and pulls you in to each and every character.! NBC should take heed and listen to its customers and put this intelligent show back on!!! I agree with so many, I will never again watch this network!! No reason to invest my time If they will not listen to their customers!!! Not All of America are mind numb!! They are playing to the lowest common denonminator!! NBC stand up for well written… Read more »
Revolution is an awesome show! It has a huge fandom! And it definitely should not have been cancelled. Seems like good television shows get cancelled all the time these days. There’s too much catering to the younger generation with this Reality TV crap & Crime Shows. Good shows that require a thought process to follow along seem to be a thing of the past, and that’s a shame. And for the syfy fans out there, there’s even less of a choice of shows to watch. Revolution combined syfy, with real world problems and deep characters that the audience could relate… Read more »

I’m surprised this show made it this long. The writers should have been fired a long time ago. Rachel should have been killed off about 8 episodes ago. This show could have been made a lot more interesting just by focusing on the struggles of trying to survive a world that was suddenly cast back into the stone age. These people walk around never searching for food or water, or fighting off wildlife that surely would have become a threat, they would be filthy from never bathing, and they sure as hell wouldn’t look like they just came back from… Read more »
