TV show description:
This dramatic science-fiction TV series explores the question “What would you do without it all?” A family struggles to reunite in an American landscape where every single piece of technology — computers, refrigerators, air conditioners, planes, cars, phones, lights — has mysteriously stopped working. Electrical power has simply gone away. The show also revolves around the idea of family — both the family you’re born into and the family you choose.
Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) is the headstrong, curious and daring daughter of Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Ben Matheson (Tim Guinee). Ben is hiding a mysterious secret about the blackout. Maggie (Anna Lise Phillips), a medical doctor, became involved with him following his wife’s death.
When Charlie’s younger and thoughtful brother, Danny (Graham Rogers), is kidnapped by militia leaders, she must reconnect with her estranged uncle Miles Matheson (Billy Burke), a former US Marine and warrior who’s living as a recluse.
Together, with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America. All the while, they explore the enduring mystery of why the power failed and how or if it will ever return.
The rebel group includes fighter Nora (Daniella Alonso); General “Bass” Monroe (David Lyons), a former Marine who served alongside Miles; and Aaron (Zak Orth), a former Google executive and a computer genius who’s ill-prepared for the rigors of the technology-less world.
Captain Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito), a cultured former insurance adjuster turned Monroe Republic leader and Nate Walker (JD Pardo) is a member of the militia who has conflicted feelings for Charlie.
Episode #42 — Declaration of Independence
Miles (Billy Burke), Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Monroe (David Lyons) launch an attack on the Patriots, but must improvise a risky new plan in order to halt the oncoming war between California and Texas. Out for revenge, Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) sets his sights on President Davis (guest star Cotter Smith). Meanwhile, Aaron (Zak Orth) and Rachel’s (Elizabeth Mitchell) efforts to save Priscilla (guest star Maureen Sebastian) from the nano-tech has unexpected consequences.
First aired: May 21, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like the Revolution TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for another season?
PLEASE do not cancel!!!! There is nothing like this on the air. From the premise to the writing to the acting—this series has so much more potential than half the cloned/spinoff/prime time soap/reality drivel on right now. A show that actually does not seem to be a rip-off of a successful cable tv series deserves more of a chance to develop than Revolution has been given.
How dull we have become when all we want to watch is “Reality TV”. Where have our imaginations gone? I’m so disappointed that NBC has decided to cancel this series. Watching Revolution makes me forget about my reality, I get so caught up in the drama, power struggles, survival tactics. Again, extremely disappointed by NBC’s decision.
I am so disappointed….one of my most favorite television shows…It is truly rare to find a television produced show that has such GREAT acting and story line… I can not believe that some of these, insults to intelligence, reality shows is coming back and we do not have a show of this quality coming back…..INCREDIBLE!!!! I pray another network picks it up and we can all continue the journey…..please please please networks…..pick this amazing show up!!!
I absolutely can’t believe NBC cancelled Revolution. Its an awesome show, I faithfully watch every episode. Is up there with Walking Dead for me. Both are 2 of my favorite series to watch. NBC should not cancel Revolution! Hope its renewed. BG
I can not believe this GREAT show is being cancelled . Why do you take the shows that keep us waiting for the next week to watch and stop them . I was shocked when my son told me I looked forward to this show . PLEASE bring it back
Please, please bring back Revolution!!!!!
Every time I get involved in a show they cancel it. You would think they would ask the viewers what they think before they pull the plug. Ratings? Who the hell are they picking to watch shows?
I can’t believe that NBC would cancel this show. I look forward each week to see what Miles and the gang will do next and it is heart breaking to find out that NBC cancelled this show. The actors/actresses and writers are wonderful and plot gets better and bigger each week. I fell for all the characters good or bad especially Miles and Bass… Billy and David – you guys rock!
I am so disappointed. Revolution is a great show. I hope another network picks it up.
NBC SUCKS!!!!!! THEY ALWAYS CANCEL THE BEST SHOWS. IM DONE WATCHING NBC…..im so sick of this. All of you at NBC EAT #@%&………….
I absolutely can’t believe NBC cancelled Revolution. This show is a breath of fresh air in a world completely full of some really questionable TV shows. The reality shows are taking over television and most of them not worth 5 minutes of my time. Not hating on all reality shows, especially those that give people opportunities they would never have had otherwise, but this show drew me in from Episode # 1. I thought Revolution was here to stay for quite a while. Please listen to us viewers! To any prospective networks out there……please pick up “The Revolution Sword”….. and… Read more »
This show definitely should not be cancelled. What corporate idiots would ever decide this.
I LOVE THIS SHOW….. PLEASE CONTINUE… ME, MY FAMILY & FRIENDS ARE BIG FANS OF THIS SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!
NBC is stupid, They have a great show like revolution and they cancel it. Most likely to be replaced by some stupid reality show. I hardly watch any tv and this is why. My only other favorite show, agents of shield is on ABC . I guess my husband and I will not be watching NBC any more. NBC I HATE YOU!
