TV show description:
This dramatic science-fiction TV series explores the question “What would you do without it all?” A family struggles to reunite in an American landscape where every single piece of technology — computers, refrigerators, air conditioners, planes, cars, phones, lights — has mysteriously stopped working. Electrical power has simply gone away. The show also revolves around the idea of family — both the family you’re born into and the family you choose.
Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) is the headstrong, curious and daring daughter of Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Ben Matheson (Tim Guinee). Ben is hiding a mysterious secret about the blackout. Maggie (Anna Lise Phillips), a medical doctor, became involved with him following his wife’s death.
When Charlie’s younger and thoughtful brother, Danny (Graham Rogers), is kidnapped by militia leaders, she must reconnect with her estranged uncle Miles Matheson (Billy Burke), a former US Marine and warrior who’s living as a recluse.
Together, with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America. All the while, they explore the enduring mystery of why the power failed and how or if it will ever return.
The rebel group includes fighter Nora (Daniella Alonso); General “Bass” Monroe (David Lyons), a former Marine who served alongside Miles; and Aaron (Zak Orth), a former Google executive and a computer genius who’s ill-prepared for the rigors of the technology-less world.
Captain Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito), a cultured former insurance adjuster turned Monroe Republic leader and Nate Walker (JD Pardo) is a member of the militia who has conflicted feelings for Charlie.
Episode #42 — Declaration of Independence
Miles (Billy Burke), Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Monroe (David Lyons) launch an attack on the Patriots, but must improvise a risky new plan in order to halt the oncoming war between California and Texas. Out for revenge, Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) sets his sights on President Davis (guest star Cotter Smith). Meanwhile, Aaron (Zak Orth) and Rachel’s (Elizabeth Mitchell) efforts to save Priscilla (guest star Maureen Sebastian) from the nano-tech has unexpected consequences.
First aired: May 21, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like the Revolution TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for another season?
Bring back REVOLUTION next season. My husband and I love this show. We watch it every week. Stop cancelling the good shows and take off the crappy show. I hope to see it return.
Don’t cancel! I love the series Revolution!!
Revolution sucked. Written by a committee that didn’t know what it was doing from one week to the next. Riddled with ads using cheap ridiculous flashbacks and weak production and act. It should’ve gone a long time.
I love this!!!! My favorite show, I wait every week for this!
What are they thinking they are cancelling one of the best show to be on regular TV in years. I guess the idiots at NBC are making room for some mindless so called reality show so they don’t have to pay real Actors. This is the very reason I don’t watch regular TV. JUst as a show gets good it get cancelled by some idiot executive at Nothing But Commercials NBC.
I hate to see NBC cancel yet another good show! It seems like every-time I like to watch a show on NBC they cancel it! I will stick to CBS and Fox in the future!
Love this series why the hell do they cancel what is obviously good! Typical of the world we live in!
Please do not cancelled the show. It make no since to me why
It might be a good show, but not at 8:00pm..
To San: What do you mean? Also, NCIS has been top ranked for about 11 years and IT airs at 8 PM.
PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL THIS SHOW!!!!! It’s myfavorite!
NBC finally has some shows worth watching, Blacklist, Chicago PD and Fire, and Revolution, and they go and kill one. They need to rethink this one, nuff said?
they should keep revolution.. you tried to sabotage it by putting 3 weeks down time in the middle.. saw some of the upcoming shows and to say the least what crap, more reality shows… you have got a good show and followers why not keep it…just move the time slot..give it a chance…
Why is it all the shows we like end up cancelled? Don’t our opinions and views matter? Obviously not! I HATE reality tv, and when you finally get a good series, good actors, storyline, etc., it gets cut! Wake up NBC, my viewing is fast changing to CBS!

I will agree that the story line in Revolution had strayed a little with too many plots to follow easily, but the premise of the show is great. I am so sad to see it cancelled. I, too, am sooooo tired of reality shows and most of the intelligence-insulting sitcoms. Revolution was unique. I think it deserves another life on a different network and a chance to redeem itself. I never understand why networks cancel solely based on numbers without wondering about the reasons the viewership has dropped. I have seen so many great shows cancelled because the story line… Read more »
