TV show description:
This dramatic science-fiction TV series explores the question “What would you do without it all?” A family struggles to reunite in an American landscape where every single piece of technology — computers, refrigerators, air conditioners, planes, cars, phones, lights — has mysteriously stopped working. Electrical power has simply gone away. The show also revolves around the idea of family — both the family you’re born into and the family you choose.
Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) is the headstrong, curious and daring daughter of Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Ben Matheson (Tim Guinee). Ben is hiding a mysterious secret about the blackout. Maggie (Anna Lise Phillips), a medical doctor, became involved with him following his wife’s death.
When Charlie’s younger and thoughtful brother, Danny (Graham Rogers), is kidnapped by militia leaders, she must reconnect with her estranged uncle Miles Matheson (Billy Burke), a former US Marine and warrior who’s living as a recluse.
Together, with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America. All the while, they explore the enduring mystery of why the power failed and how or if it will ever return.
The rebel group includes fighter Nora (Daniella Alonso); General “Bass” Monroe (David Lyons), a former Marine who served alongside Miles; and Aaron (Zak Orth), a former Google executive and a computer genius who’s ill-prepared for the rigors of the technology-less world.
Captain Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito), a cultured former insurance adjuster turned Monroe Republic leader and Nate Walker (JD Pardo) is a member of the militia who has conflicted feelings for Charlie.
Episode #42 — Declaration of Independence
Miles (Billy Burke), Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Monroe (David Lyons) launch an attack on the Patriots, but must improvise a risky new plan in order to halt the oncoming war between California and Texas. Out for revenge, Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) sets his sights on President Davis (guest star Cotter Smith). Meanwhile, Aaron (Zak Orth) and Rachel’s (Elizabeth Mitchell) efforts to save Priscilla (guest star Maureen Sebastian) from the nano-tech has unexpected consequences.
First aired: May 21, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like the Revolution TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for another season?
Stop taking good shows off and replacing them with all these stupid reality shows!!!!!!!
No wonder networks can’t get ratings they put uptight suit wearing people who either don’t own a tv or are to wrapped up in their own dull world.
Just stop and consider others
NBC SUCKS for cancelling this show especiall with NO CLOSURE!!!! What about all the personal time TV viewers invest in these shows & the big rich BIG WIGS at the network don’t care at all all about their viewers, they just want their good old pockets to get FATTER. What a shame!!!!!!!!!!
Does NBC even read anything? Do they read these comments? If they did they would not cancel the best show that has ever been on TV. The actors are great, the story is great, why would this show be canceled. I will be crying my eyes out tonight when I watch the last show. And I do think that everyone should boycott this station. I for one do not watch any other show on NBC. Not anymore. Please read these comments and get smart.
The comments we make here do not reach anyone at NBC. Let’s make sure our voice is heard. Sign the petition, post on NBC facebook and their website, light up twitter esp today and tonight. Be nice and polite. They still own the rights to Revolution and making them mad with insults may not be in our best interest. We want them to sell the rights to another network.
I will try to be polite. It will be hard.
I don’t think they will renew on NBC but if we nicely let them know the strong base it has hopefully they will sell the rights. If we get nasty they may decide to react and show us they are the boss and not sell the rights.
And yes it is hard being nice to them but we can do it.
Yes, I can be polite. I am a grown up so I can do it.
Go to NBC Facebook page. Let them know we want our show back on the air. Let’s dominate their page with it and let them know how strong this base is. Be polite. NBC still owns the rights to Revolution and we don’t want to make them mad. We need them to be willing to sell the rights.

NBC
revolution was one of my favorite shows
can’t believe its being cancelled
i hate all those reality stupid shows
you work hard all day, come home have dinner, sit down relax try to watch a tv show you enjoy you find out its taken away from you
One of my favorite shows, I really hate it when they just cancel a show without any ending. I’m about ready to stop watching series shows and just do Redbox movies. I’m tired of getting involved in a series with no ending…..The only thing worse than this is the stupid reality shows they keep coming up with. I would really like to see a cable network pick up Revolution. I wouldn’t mind seeing the cable company cancel ABC, NBC and CBS at this point.

Why??? Dang… Revolution… just as good if not better than Walking Dead….. great show…. so not happy about it being cancelled….. guess it will be replaced with a ….” Reality” show of some sort…
I believe that Revolution is one of the best newer shows. It is a relief that it isn’t just another “reality” show. On the reality shows, someone shows talent, usually singing or is a redneck from deep south or pertains to sex. Thank God it is not another scarey television show, usually about vampires or a werewolf. Revolution is a great sci-fi show with a different concept full of intrigue and excitement. If it isn’t getting enough ratings what about just moving it’s time slot. There is something imaginative about it.I wish that NBC would reconsider this shows fate.
I’m concur with Keith’s comments. I too am sick and tired of affiliate networks like NBC getting viewers in with shows for ratings and then canceling them. Especially with all of their untimely breaks for commercials as well as the number and length of the commercials! R u kidding!! I know I will never order these networks in a package or subscription if ever offered, heard they were thinking about it awhile back due to not making enough money as is. They are a dying or should I say dead breed of entertainment today. I can get my local news… Read more »
Once again we see a network take a show with some real imagination of the air, because most people don’t appreciate good entertainment till after it is gone. Before this show there was Fringe on another network and then before that shows like Star Trek. Network executives have to make changes or risk looking like they are out of touch. Too Bad for NBC.
That. Suck gerat show
Why do you insist canceling tv shows that are interesting. I’m at the point of watching cable or netflix only. I look forward every week to shows like Revolution and am sick and tired of the stupid reality crap.
DITTO!!!! Who do they think they’re foolin? Reality shows are pennies -and look like it, with no actors just ridiculous freaky people doing stupid stuff, while actual actors in a real program get the axe. I’ll just have to go to Netflix for some actual acting. They NBC could/should renew Revolution. WE’ll watch….
NBC should have renewed Revolution. Whoever decided to cancel this show did not care about the ratings or the large fan base. If NBC had moved Revolution to Thursdays, they would have seen more viewers than they do now on Thursdays. I wish another station would pick up Revolution.
