TV show description:
This dramatic science-fiction TV series explores the question “What would you do without it all?” A family struggles to reunite in an American landscape where every single piece of technology — computers, refrigerators, air conditioners, planes, cars, phones, lights — has mysteriously stopped working. Electrical power has simply gone away. The show also revolves around the idea of family — both the family you’re born into and the family you choose.
Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) is the headstrong, curious and daring daughter of Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Ben Matheson (Tim Guinee). Ben is hiding a mysterious secret about the blackout. Maggie (Anna Lise Phillips), a medical doctor, became involved with him following his wife’s death.
When Charlie’s younger and thoughtful brother, Danny (Graham Rogers), is kidnapped by militia leaders, she must reconnect with her estranged uncle Miles Matheson (Billy Burke), a former US Marine and warrior who’s living as a recluse.
Together, with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America. All the while, they explore the enduring mystery of why the power failed and how or if it will ever return.
The rebel group includes fighter Nora (Daniella Alonso); General “Bass” Monroe (David Lyons), a former Marine who served alongside Miles; and Aaron (Zak Orth), a former Google executive and a computer genius who’s ill-prepared for the rigors of the technology-less world.
Captain Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito), a cultured former insurance adjuster turned Monroe Republic leader and Nate Walker (JD Pardo) is a member of the militia who has conflicted feelings for Charlie.
Episode #42 — Declaration of Independence
Miles (Billy Burke), Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Monroe (David Lyons) launch an attack on the Patriots, but must improvise a risky new plan in order to halt the oncoming war between California and Texas. Out for revenge, Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) sets his sights on President Davis (guest star Cotter Smith). Meanwhile, Aaron (Zak Orth) and Rachel’s (Elizabeth Mitchell) efforts to save Priscilla (guest star Maureen Sebastian) from the nano-tech has unexpected consequences.
First aired: May 21, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like the Revolution TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for another season?
That is because nbc are big time liberals and this show was actually exposing how the progressives would act and I am referring to the militia.
I really enjoy Revolution, youkeep other junk on and cancel this program. That is just stupid.
NBC you are destined for failure, executives you are done manipulating us. You are hereby boycotted.
Please look below and sign the petitions to make Your voice heard!!! Let’s get this show back on the air somewhere !!…. Why are they cancelling good shows? The show was really starting to take off! a lot of people watch Hulu does that count on there ratings?
NBC made another huge mistake in cancelling Revolution. Has anyone seen the Emmy nominations……..NBC got very few. I think even Netflix might have done better.
Maybe that will wake up someone in the programming department.
I don’t think I will even bother trying to get interested in anymore NBC shows because they just yank them without warning leaving viewers wondering what happened.
Then there are many so-called reality shows on TV……please don’t insult our intelligence.
I cannot believe they are cancelling this sow. I know so many people who are faithful fans. They cancel this and leave some of the dumbest shows on.
You are so right STUPID reality shows with NO CLASS!
Exactly… why do they keep this crap reality shows going…. The suck.
I think it is horrible that they are not renewing the show. They are totally leaving us hanging and wondering what will happen. I have not seen a show with this much depth and development ever. In talking with my friends the loved the show but for an 8pm air time was a killer. It is an adult show and should have been slotted for a 9 or 10 pm slot. I really hope the network gives us one more season to wrap it up or sell it to someone who will. This would work for netflix or even HBO.… Read more »
totally agree with you!
I agree with the rest, not fair to end something we have come to enjoy and then leave us hanging. We tune in every week, for two years NOT to have you end it all with no answers. I know it’s just TV but if you want me to get hooked on the next show, then you had better mend your ways! or at least hear us!
Honestly, its a grate show.
Liked the show. Don ‘t see why the network cancelled. I agree with Lura, they should bring these types of shows to a conclusion.

So tired of these night time soaps. Too many of the end with no ending. It is like driving on a bridge, getting to the middle of it and then it abruptly ends. Why even bother to start a night time soap if you don’t have an ending mapped out in case you decide to cancel it. Most of them I record now. I wait a month or two before I start watching just in case they get cancelled. When that happens, I just blow those shows away so I don’t develop an interest just to left hanging. This show… Read more »
Very good point!! Why start something you can’t finish. I still believe NBC can correct their ways..
The problem is the networks commercial sponsor consider if you don’t watch live, then you wont go out and spend money to buy their products. Its never about how good a show is, it is about how much money is being generated from the viewing of adds during the show.
Revolution is a excellent show, with good actors and actresses, and a quality story line. It is all about the money.
How can you take this great show off? There is so much reality garbage on TV these days.
I want to be entertained, not see how real life is. I get enough of that day to day. No one I know watches reality shows. Where does the audience come from? When you have a good show–you take it off. How do you determine your ratings?
Please consider putting Revolution back on (or at least give us closure).
Thank you !
I couldn’t wait to see the next episode. They said the changed the timeslot and it didn’t do good so they cancelled it. I totally agree with some of my fellow Revolution lovers. Please run another season instead of putting mind mushing reality garbage and stupid sitcoms that have no meaning. Masses of people are living vegetables. Please bring it back or sell it to some network that will! NBC hasn’t history taught you ANYTHING?
why do you ppl dump the good shows….. this was a good show… I look forward to this every time it came on… Revolution had something to say and you did not let the story run out..i guess would rather show drugs, sex and gangs because it makes you money.
you suck…….
