TV show description:
This dramatic science-fiction TV series explores the question “What would you do without it all?” A family struggles to reunite in an American landscape where every single piece of technology — computers, refrigerators, air conditioners, planes, cars, phones, lights — has mysteriously stopped working. Electrical power has simply gone away. The show also revolves around the idea of family — both the family you’re born into and the family you choose.
Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) is the headstrong, curious and daring daughter of Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Ben Matheson (Tim Guinee). Ben is hiding a mysterious secret about the blackout. Maggie (Anna Lise Phillips), a medical doctor, became involved with him following his wife’s death.
When Charlie’s younger and thoughtful brother, Danny (Graham Rogers), is kidnapped by militia leaders, she must reconnect with her estranged uncle Miles Matheson (Billy Burke), a former US Marine and warrior who’s living as a recluse.
Together, with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America. All the while, they explore the enduring mystery of why the power failed and how or if it will ever return.
The rebel group includes fighter Nora (Daniella Alonso); General “Bass” Monroe (David Lyons), a former Marine who served alongside Miles; and Aaron (Zak Orth), a former Google executive and a computer genius who’s ill-prepared for the rigors of the technology-less world.
Captain Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito), a cultured former insurance adjuster turned Monroe Republic leader and Nate Walker (JD Pardo) is a member of the militia who has conflicted feelings for Charlie.
Episode #42 — Declaration of Independence
Miles (Billy Burke), Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Monroe (David Lyons) launch an attack on the Patriots, but must improvise a risky new plan in order to halt the oncoming war between California and Texas. Out for revenge, Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) sets his sights on President Davis (guest star Cotter Smith). Meanwhile, Aaron (Zak Orth) and Rachel’s (Elizabeth Mitchell) efforts to save Priscilla (guest star Maureen Sebastian) from the nano-tech has unexpected consequences.
First aired: May 21, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like the Revolution TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for another season?
The US tv companies appear to have an obsession over ratings, they should realise that most people nowadays either record or watch later on demand to watch 3 or 4 episodes at once, so it isn’t that they are watching these shows they just want to watch them at their convenience not the the tv companies!
OMG, I love this show! My cousin and I would watch it every week and text our comments to each other. We were so into the storyline and characters and then – BOOM! it was canceled. No finale, no ending to the story, just left hanging. Why was that done? It doesn’t make sense to me. PLEASE bring it back, or at least have a final airing to let us know how everything turned out? We loyal fans need closure to this big hit!
I love the first two seasons! I’m so disappointed that the show was cancelled.
This is seriously one of the best shows out there…wtf nbc
I really loved this show. It’s a real shame it wasn’t renewed!
We loved the series, the actors, the twists and turns of the plot during the past two years . Networks develop a winning combination and devoted audience only to cancel the show midstream.
Why cancel such a good action, show. Instead you put on more reality and same sex couple shows. What is happening to what is the best for all people to watch. As well as what are our children learning for these new shows? Crap that’s what! Time to cancel subscription to cable, dish and direct TV and turn on the radio.
I’ll never watch nbc again.. I hate any thing on networks… Best shows r now on FX AMC and HBO.. I really like this show and was starting to come around.. And now u cancel the 1 show I started looking foward to seeing.. Loved the cast and this show… And NBC hits the dump button.. Best of luck NBC you stink!!!!
another season
What a shame.
There’s finally a TV show I really really like and they cancel it I’m really disappointed in NBC…. I just find it difficult to believe the mentality of the viewing public is so sad that simpleminded B budget shows get kept on for years and years. I’m sincerely putting some faith in the networks that the show will get pulled back but I’m not holding my breath it’s happened before.
NBC – These are the same morons who cancelled the original Star Trek series. How did that work out for the suits? Fire the whole dam bunch of them.
The best show ever!!! I really hope to bring the show back and have at least 3 more seasons!!!
Syfy…. Please pick this up!!!! There is still so much more to this story. I loved the show! Shame on you NBC execs! Go and get another lame singing show or something mind numbing!
Only show I watch on NBC. Figures they would cancel it. Really curious what was about to happen as the nano took over…
This is an awesome show please do not cancel it!! There is still a large following!! At least they should finish it off and market the rest of the series on DVD for a final closing of the storyline!
