TV show description:
This dramatic science-fiction TV series explores the question “What would you do without it all?” A family struggles to reunite in an American landscape where every single piece of technology — computers, refrigerators, air conditioners, planes, cars, phones, lights — has mysteriously stopped working. Electrical power has simply gone away. The show also revolves around the idea of family — both the family you’re born into and the family you choose.
Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) is the headstrong, curious and daring daughter of Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Ben Matheson (Tim Guinee). Ben is hiding a mysterious secret about the blackout. Maggie (Anna Lise Phillips), a medical doctor, became involved with him following his wife’s death.
When Charlie’s younger and thoughtful brother, Danny (Graham Rogers), is kidnapped by militia leaders, she must reconnect with her estranged uncle Miles Matheson (Billy Burke), a former US Marine and warrior who’s living as a recluse.
Together, with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America. All the while, they explore the enduring mystery of why the power failed and how or if it will ever return.
The rebel group includes fighter Nora (Daniella Alonso); General “Bass” Monroe (David Lyons), a former Marine who served alongside Miles; and Aaron (Zak Orth), a former Google executive and a computer genius who’s ill-prepared for the rigors of the technology-less world.
Captain Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito), a cultured former insurance adjuster turned Monroe Republic leader and Nate Walker (JD Pardo) is a member of the militia who has conflicted feelings for Charlie.
Episode #42 — Declaration of Independence
Miles (Billy Burke), Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Monroe (David Lyons) launch an attack on the Patriots, but must improvise a risky new plan in order to halt the oncoming war between California and Texas. Out for revenge, Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) sets his sights on President Davis (guest star Cotter Smith). Meanwhile, Aaron (Zak Orth) and Rachel’s (Elizabeth Mitchell) efforts to save Priscilla (guest star Maureen Sebastian) from the nano-tech has unexpected consequences.
First aired: May 21, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like the Revolution TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for another season?
Wish NBC would reconsider. Loved the show.
Actually, to be honest this show was absolute ****. starting with a girl who believes that going on the wrong roads is a bad thing to halfway through the episode killing would-be rapists, and at the end of the episode slaughtering trained soldiers without any qualms whatsoever leads me to believe that she was already the most heartless ***** in the continent or there are plot-holes. Also, the way that they have smoothbore black powder rifles, and no tanks, planes or any sort of large arms only seven years after the loss of technology is absurd because of how fine… Read more »
I know this sounds a little out there, but has anyone consider because the show was educating us about Nano’s they were canceled? I really like how they taught us a little and was going to show us ,why they could be good or bad. But again censorship is alive an well in our free country. Just wondering. Where were they going to go with the Nano information? We will never know and that may be planned.
Please don’t cancell Revolution!!! It’s one of the best shows on. I thought it was just going off the air until the fall, when everything else I watch comes back on. It has a great cast and a sit on the edge of your seat story line. Bring it back!
What difference does it make at this point whether we would like this show to continue or not. If the network was interested, they would have posed this question before cancelling the show. If they had asked, I would have voted for many more episodes.
I was hooked on this show…I rarely watch anything on NBC because most of their shows are terrible…this was the best one in a while on this station. BRING IT BACK!!!!
It’s good show I love it. It’s so sad has been cancel hope they change their mind.
Revolution was a superb TV series and I would love to see more of it. The show makes many valid points. The human race might have resources to generate power now but what would happen if or when we do run out of natural resources? Or if terrorist would bring the power system down? I imagine something similar to this show would happen and it would not be pretty. In fact, I’d probably want to die w/o air conditioning or my computer!
So now you’ve cancelled Believe ,Crisis and Revolution. I will stick with other networks to get interested in any new shows.maybe they’ll give new shows more of a chance.TNT and FOX here I come!
I think boycotting NBC would be a good idea but hard to sustain.. I hope these comments are being sent to them and just not a place for us to vent our anger into Space. The networks have been known to re-evaluate their positions.. Admittedly, that isn’t often but if these comments which are coming in daily batches are being delivered to them,, they might just give us at least one more year to validate our loyalty to some of these shows. I , too, like Believe, Crisis and Revolution.
disappointed with NBC cancel decisions… as usual.
This is the best show on TV. It teaches viewers about technology. The plot is superb. This type of series must continue on TV.
You continue to cancel the good shows and replace it with !!!!!!!!!!!! junk. How many more reality shows do we need to be subjected to? Bring it BACK.
Please! bring back Revolution, it’s my favorite show. I always look forward to every Wednesday night. Now I have nothing to watch. It is a very interesting show. It could actually happen in real life. What would we all do if the lights went out. Everything would fall apart. All that has it easy would have it hard. I think we all should be watching Revolution it teaches you how to survive in that kind of a situation.
i cant belive this. what a joke this was the best show on the tube. what a crock
PLEASE BRING BACK REVOLUTION. I’M GETTING TIRED OF ALL MY SHOWS GETTING CANCEL. YOU CANCEL THE SECRET CIRCLE, ONCE UPON A TIME IN NEVERLAND, AND BELIEVE SO PLEASE DON’T CANCEL THIS SHOW.
