TV show description:
This dramatic science-fiction TV series explores the question “What would you do without it all?” A family struggles to reunite in an American landscape where every single piece of technology — computers, refrigerators, air conditioners, planes, cars, phones, lights — has mysteriously stopped working. Electrical power has simply gone away. The show also revolves around the idea of family — both the family you’re born into and the family you choose.
Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) is the headstrong, curious and daring daughter of Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Ben Matheson (Tim Guinee). Ben is hiding a mysterious secret about the blackout. Maggie (Anna Lise Phillips), a medical doctor, became involved with him following his wife’s death.
When Charlie’s younger and thoughtful brother, Danny (Graham Rogers), is kidnapped by militia leaders, she must reconnect with her estranged uncle Miles Matheson (Billy Burke), a former US Marine and warrior who’s living as a recluse.
Together, with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America. All the while, they explore the enduring mystery of why the power failed and how or if it will ever return.
The rebel group includes fighter Nora (Daniella Alonso); General “Bass” Monroe (David Lyons), a former Marine who served alongside Miles; and Aaron (Zak Orth), a former Google executive and a computer genius who’s ill-prepared for the rigors of the technology-less world.
Captain Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito), a cultured former insurance adjuster turned Monroe Republic leader and Nate Walker (JD Pardo) is a member of the militia who has conflicted feelings for Charlie.
Episode #42 — Declaration of Independence
Miles (Billy Burke), Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Monroe (David Lyons) launch an attack on the Patriots, but must improvise a risky new plan in order to halt the oncoming war between California and Texas. Out for revenge, Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) sets his sights on President Davis (guest star Cotter Smith). Meanwhile, Aaron (Zak Orth) and Rachel’s (Elizabeth Mitchell) efforts to save Priscilla (guest star Maureen Sebastian) from the nano-tech has unexpected consequences.
First aired: May 21, 2014.

r u kidding me? i luved this show
I can’t believe you’re canceling Revolution. I came online just to see when my favorite shows were coming on. What a disappointment.
I loved Revolution, it had a lot of lessons about greed and what would happen to those who have money and those who do not. It wouldn’t matter because we would all have to stick together in order to survive. I hope its not final, the cancellation, I mean, the finale doesn’t really tell us what happens.
Please continue this show!!
Révolution was one of the best shows. Dont. understand why NBC would cancel.
There you go again canceling good shows that people like and watch, you set to record if you can’t be home because you don’t want to miss an episode. I will watch for Syfy to pick this up at least they recognize good shows and what people like to watch. You can keep your reality shows, if I want reality I’ll just get on facebook. Bring back Revolution and Believe.
Loved this show, i just found out its been cancelled. But we are supposed to watch a bunch of reality shows. Guess what people we live reality, i thought tv was created to give us important news when it came about, but otherwise tv to me is a great escape from reality. I sure dont need to see how everybody lands a man or the latest twerking moves. And just for fits an giggles a lil reality tv is ok but has gotten way out of hand. Oh and by the way revolution is a lil bit of history as… Read more »
Maybe the Ex’s & Marketing people have learned instead of “Who’s moved my Cheese” to learn to change things up then cancel a show where all the mice are fighting for the same spot. Nice to see at least this week for NBA playoffs that you moved Believe to Sunday at 9. However, ABC will be back for their jammed pack Sunday night. Saturday is wide open?? Yeah I have grown kids that go out on Saturday but they set the DVR to tape. Plus there are a lot more people than the dating age…you know those ones that pay… Read more »
NBC strikes again! Any series that could make it a viable network gets cancelled. Someone got it in for JJ Abrams??
