FOX’s new series Star just finished its first season earlier this month, but what about season two? The network has already renewed the Lee Daniels show for another season. What do you think? Will you watch season two?
The drama follows three talented singers as they navigate the cut-throat music business on their road to success. The cast includes Queen Latifah, Benjamin Bratt, Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, and Brittany O’Grady.
For a new show, Star didn’t receive stellar ratings. After a very good start, the show’s numbers started to fall very quickly and the season finale drew about half as many viewers as the premiere.
Season one averaged a 1.34 rating in the 18-49 demo and only 4.22 million viewers. Nevertheless, FOX renewed the series for a second season. Clearly, some viewers have lost interest. Are you one of them?

It really is too bad that viewers didn’t stick with this show. By the time it finished for the season I was totally hooked. Love the music, but I wish they would let Queen Latifah sing more often. Hopefully word of mouth will get the ratings up next season. This show deserves it.

I didn’t think I loved it, but found myself coming back every week. The season finale was AMAZING. Can’t wait to see what Lee has in store us next.
