ABC FAMILY RENEWS CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED HIT DRAMA SERIES “THE FOSTERS” FOR A FOURTH SEASON
“The Fosters” Returns January 25 with All-New Episodes
Burbank, CA (November 30, 2015) – ABC Family today announced the fourth season pick-up of its hit original series “The Fosters.” The critically acclaimed family drama will premiere all-new episodes from the third season on Monday, January 25, 8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., EST/PST on ABC Family. ABC Family is becoming Freeform in January 2016.

“The Fosters” is a compelling, one-hour drama about a multi-ethnic family mix of adopted and biological teenaged kids being raised by two moms. Stef Adams Foster, a dedicated police officer, and her wife, Lena Adams Foster, a school vice principal, have built a close-knit, loving family with Stef’s biological son from a previous marriage, Brandon; their adopted twins, Mariana and Jesus; and newly adopted siblings Jude, and his half-sister, Callie.
During its recent Summer season, “The Fosters” ranked as cable TV’s #1 scripted series on Mondays at 8 o’clock in Total Viewers (2.1 million) and across key target Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49 demographics, and was the #3 most tweeted basic cable drama series (399,000 tweets). Across all of television, “The Fosters” has the second most engaged audience on Instagram behind only “Pretty Little Liars.”
Winner of a Television Academy Honors Award and GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Drama Series, “The Fosters” is executive-produced by Jennifer Lopez, (“American Idol,” “What to Expect When You’re Expecting,” “The Back-Up Plan”) and created by Bradley Bredeweg and Peter Paige (“Queer As Folk”), who also serve as executive producers and writers, along with Joanna Johnson (“Make It or Break It”). “The Fosters” currently stars Teri Polo (“Meet the Parents”) as Stef Adams Foster, Sherri Saum (“In Treatment”) as Lena Adams Foster, Hayden Byerly (“Parenthood”) as Jude Adams Foster, Noah Centineo (“How to Build a Better Boy”) as Jesus Adams Foster, David Lambert (“Aaron Stone”) as Brandon Foster, Maia Mitchell (“Teen Beach Movie”) as Callie Adams Foster, Danny Nucci (“Titanic”) as Mike Foster and Cierra Ramirez (“The Secret Life of the American Teenager”) as Mariana Adams Foster.
