The X Factor USA was cancelled by FOX after just three seasons. The series was brought to the USA by Simon Cowell, and he even left his spot on the judging table on American Idol to bring X Factor to television screens in America.
However, the series never lived up to expectations on this side of the Atlantic. The UK counterpart is still highly popular, and it is currently airing another season. With the return of The X Factor UK and his recent addition to America’s Got Talent, Cowell has been out and about speaking a lot, and he has now looked back at his time with The X Factor USA.
Cowell actually admitted he made some big mistakes with the reality series, and that admission might shock same fans. Digital Spy shared Cowell’s comments about The X Factor.
“Would I give American X Factor another go? Absolutely 100 percent, for sure. We got it all wrong, going in very arrogant. Again I opened my big mouth, I said we would get 20 million and as I said it I thought ‘oh my god, why did I say that?’ I should have said five because it got something like 14 which was crazily good but of course I was dead by that point. Also we couldn’t be the last show of the year, so there was American Idol, America’s Got talent, dance show, two versions of The Voice. t was overkill and I was exhausted before we even started watching it. I do still think as a music show it is the best one out there.”
Would anything be different if The X Factor aired now? With American Idol getting ready to exit, FOX would have the room for The X Factor to return. There is still a heavy amount of reality competition series on air right now. The Voice is not going anywhere. It will air season 10 with Christina Aguilera’s return to panel next spring. America’s Got Talent will air this summer.

Now, we know why we need The X Factor USA to comeback to our screens next year. Now, that’s what I call Hope.
Fox could’ve kept The X Factor on the air without Simon on the judging panel and they’ve could’ve found someone else to replace him on the judging panel. They could still do it. Maybe next year.

Yes, I would watch–I miss this show! Please bring it back, with Simon as one of the judges it was greeeeaaaat. American Idol also was better with Cowell, Randy Jackson, and how about Jennifer Lopez, as judges and Ryan Seacrest as host. Loved both those talent shows!

I wanted to audition, I was upset when they left, I just turned 13 when they left and I missed the 2013 auditions. If you guys come back, I promise you wouldn’t be disappointed. People looked at the X Factor not only for entertainment but for a chance to be a big star and I want to be one.
Back in 2005, the Australian version of The X Factor was cancelled by Network Ten after just one season. In 2010, the show was revived for a second season by Seven Network. Now, let’s hope Fox revives The X Factor USA for a fourth season this year or next year.
Merry Christmas everybody! After Christmas, Simon could fly to America and talk to Fox about reviving The X Factor for 2017-18 season. Let’s hope it’ll happen this time.
If The X Factor USA gets revived by Fox next year, what season four needs is the Bootcamp, the six or eight-chair challenge, the Judges’ houses, wildcard, a new jukebox wheel (themes include “Disco”, “Movies”, “Fright Night”, “80s”, “Divas”, “Motown”, “Boyband vs Girlband” and “Christmas”) and a charity single. They need to make 32 or 34 episodes instead of 26 or 28 episodes.
We need The X Factor USA back on Fox next year and we also need The Xtra Factor USA on maybe not on Fox but maybe on Fox 2, Fox 4, Fox 5, Fox 6, Fox 7, Fox 8, Fox 9, Fox 10, Fox 11, I don’t know how many Fox stations there are in America but that’s exactly what I want. The Xtra Factor to be on those Fox stations.
I really loved that show. I like following those contestants that are still doing their thing, like Fifth Harmony, and Astro. What happen with the winners, did they come out with anything? I was so mad when it got cancelled. Please bring it back.
