The X-Files will return to FOX with its six-episode mini season, and there is more for the fans to see to help with the wait.
FOX released three new posters for The X-Files revival this week. The new posters, shared by MovieWeb, make it clear that aliens are still very much a part of the series.
What is not a part of the series is the romantic relationship between Mulder and Scully, who are played by David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. The two finally coupled up on the series, but the pair are now separated for the new series.
The news that the couple had split during the time between the last film and this new revival shocked many fans, but Chris Carter explained the split recently to TV Guide. Carter said that he wanted to “be honest about where I felt the characters would be. There’s always the possibility that they will patch up their differences.”

As an x-phile from way back, so happy to see it’s return. Realize it won’t go on as a series but sure hope it gets a decent ending (unlike the movies). And of course, Mulder and Sculley must be together in the end. No, really. They must. Not kidding.
I’m so excited that “X-Files” is coming back! They should never have taken it off. I would like to see Mulder & Scully back together. Waited years for them to get together! I just hope that FOX doesn’t cancel it like they did “The Bastar d Executioner”! Can’t believe they cancelled that. I hope “X-Files” stays on for years again. 🙂
I can’t wait to the x-files come back on the air I’m looking forward so much for it I just like to know that day and time when the new series starts and I hope it’s a full series and maybe even several seasons cuz I love the x-files and everybody I talk to love the x-files so Fox do it right and make it a full run and many series to follow.
