TLC is keeping it in the family. Variety reports the network has renewed the series Who Do You Think You Are? and Long Lost Family.
Who Do You Think You Are? traces the familial lineages of celebrities like Jim Parsons, Bryan Cranston, and J.K. Rowling. Long Lost Family helps those who have been separated from family by adoption find each other and reunite.
Ancestry.com will return as sponsor for both season nine of Who Do You Think You Are and season two of Long Lost Family.
What do you think? Have you seen either series? Are you glad they’ve been renewed?
I was hoping to see this come back again!!! I LOVE both these shows and am also an Ancestry.com member. I am adopted and on the same journey myself. I would love to be a part of your show!!!!
Love both these shows, and am I member on Ancestry.com. Would love a little help if possible, my cousin was married to a young man who was adopted [closed adoption], but died too soon in a fire. He had a son who grew up without a father and would like to find his dad’s family.
do hope they have been renewed as it really is abreath of fresh air! We have a son that was adopted in 1987 and is hoping your show can help him find closure as his birth mother was raped .
So glad to here that Long Lost Family is coming back! I too have a “long lost family” story. Reunited with my birth family in 2011! We strongly believe that there is one more missing link. So, we’re looking for her. Hackensack, NJ connection.
Long lost family is such a breath of fresh air! It hits close to home for me personally also.I took a DNA test and found out who my biological father was. I found out when I was 40 that the man that raised me was not my real father. My biological father was friends with the man that raised me. By the time I completed my DNA research,My biological father had just passed away.At least I know now!
I absolutely loved this show,it was a refreshing break from the choices we have .I have to ask if there is a chance you can help my best friend find her son,we have tried but don’t have the resources or funds.she is an amazing person and he needs to get the chance to know her any help greatly appreciated, her story is unbelievable but hers to tell ,not mine
Long lost family was my favorite show on tv
I enjoyed both shows and am very happy they have been renewed. I was just telling a friend about the Long Lost Family as her family is going through something similar right now.
I’m an adoptee who would love to find my bio parents and family members. I found out i was adopted at the age of 47 when I found the court documents while searching for my dying mother’s burial insurance policies. I have no 1st names of my biological parents and i can’t find any relatives at all. Glad this show was renewed. The internet is no help without names. My birth record list baby girl Thompson as my name and only the last names of my parents. I was born in California where adoptions are closed. I’m going to contact… Read more »
Gail, take a DNA test on Ancestry.com It will give you relatives from people that have also taken the test, they connect you to them by DNA and you just do research to figure out how your related to them.Believe me they wont pair you up with people unless they are related to you some how.
Liked the show. Truth? Too drawn out. Find more per episode and less drama. You can find so much on your own on internet now.
I loved Long Lost Family , I too found my birth father 26 years ago , and 2 years ago got in touch with 7 siblings , sadly they didn’t want anything to do with me , I wish that L.L.F would also show the not so happy endings, because sadly there are just as many stories of them as happy endings , and for people just starting their search it is important for them to know that not everyone has a happy ending and to be prepared for good and bad. But the show is awesome and I hope… Read more »
Dear Margaret I to have had the same response from a few members of my biological fathers family. It is disappointing to say the least. Don’t feel bad though, its their lose. The show should tell the other side as well. I agree.
